Welcome to the Terrace Function Centre. The Terrace is a purpose built modern event space set amongst gorgeous rose gardens at the Gawler & Barossa Jockey Club. Making the most of its custom made floor to ceiling glass frontage, The Terrace opens up to views of the racecourse and hills in the distance – the perfect backdrop for your wedding reception. The Terrace Function Centre is able to cater for 80 to 250 guests for a sit down function and up to 350 for a cocktail event. Escorted use of the racecourse and gardens is available for your photographic opportunity. The new wolf Blass Pavilion provides an outstanding view of the racetrack and Gawler ranges, the expansive covered outdoor pavilion caters for large scale events up to 1000 guests. The Gawler and Barossa Jockey Club has a beautiful Wedding Gazebo and onsite 1879 Rose Gardens. The Gazebo and 1879 Rose Gardens offer you and your guests a stylish and functional location to celebrate your vows and completes the picture for events at The Terrace. Our packages are flexible and we will do our best to accommodate your special requests. Please feel free to make an appointment to meet with our Function Coordinator and tour our facility. Cocktail style events allow you and your guests to socialise freely and enjoy the ambience of the venue while food is served to you from our experienced waiting staff. Antipasto/Cheese platters on arrival, six cocktail selections (minimum three cold), tea and coffee. Food is served over a 3 hour duration. Beverage Packages Custom Package Create your own package from our comprehensive wine selection and nominate the time frame for which you wish the service of these beverages to be applied. We can then determine a fixed price for you. Alternatively advise us of your budget and desired timing and we can suggest beverage options available. Some package options are noted below. On Consumption Nominate a limited selection of beverages prior to your function. There are occasions when beverages by consumption are not applicable and a package needs to be chosen. Minimum spend may apply. Initial Beverage Package Tailor made options may include 

1 x jug of soft drink

Or tray service upon your guests arrival. All other beverages can then be charged on a consumption basis, where necessary to your pre-determined value, OR guests can purchase their drinks with cash payment directly at the bar. Cash Bar Guests purchase their own beverage from the bar. *Please note minimum spend applies to event hire and can be used on catering or at the bar.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF BOOKING Appointments

                       

Our Functions Coordinator is available by appointment to discuss your requirements and take you on a tour of the facilities. Confirmation of Bookings Booking confirmation is requested in writing, together with the room hire fee in full. Tentative bookings will be held for 14 days. Final confirmation and payment Menu choices and payment of catering need to be finalized preferably 4 weeks before the wedding date. Final numbers and dietaries and must be finalized a minimum of 14 days prior to your wedding date. Food or beverages cannot be brought onto the premises. Full payment is required a minimum of 14 days prior to your function. Additional costs incurred during your function, are to be settled at the end of your function. Cancellations Cancellations must be advised in writing. Late notice will incur cost. Bookings cancelled will forfeit the Room Hire fee paid. Prices The prices quoted are valid until 30 December 2016. Liquor The Gawler & Barossa Jockey Club practices responsible service of alcohol. The function supervisor and staff has the right to refuse service of alcohol to any person/s we believe is intoxicated and/or under the age of eighteen (18). We reserve the right to request suitable identification. Conduct of the Function The Gawler & Barossa Jockey Club reserves the right to control the sound levels of your event. It is understood that the organiser will conduct the function in an orderly manner. We reserve the right to intervene if function activities are considered illegal, noisy or offensive. Responsibility The organisers are financially responsible for any damages/breakages sustained to the Gawler & Barossa Jockey Club, whether in the function room or in another part of the club or racetrack. The Gawler & Barossa Jockey Club will not accept any responsibility for the damage or loss of merchandise left prior to or after the function. It is recommended that you arrange appropriate insurance cover. Cleaning General cleaning is included in the cost of the function. If cleaning requirements are excessive the cost incurred will be added to your account. Confetti and rice grains are not permitted within the buildings or grounds. Delivery and pickup of equipment Gawler & Barossa Jockey Club must be advised of all deliveries and collections made on behalf of the organiser. Payment for deliveries must be made in advance. Band set up is to take place at an agreed time on the day of your function, unless prior arrangements are made with the Function Coordinator. Photographs

The racecourse offers some beautiful backdrops for photographs. If you would like to use this facility please advise your Function Coordinator prior to the function date. Parking The Gawler & Barossa Jockey Club has ample free parking for your guests. Wheelchair Access is available Evening functions may require security, please discuss with your event coordinator.
