Product Specifications

PE100-1 Power Extender APPLICATION

PE100-1 Power Extender

Leviton’s PE100-1 Power Extender allows a dimming zone’s power handling capacity to be extended to a full 1920W/VA on 120V input power. It allows a zone to dim or switch a fully loaded circuit of incandescent and magnetic low voltage loads only.

FEATURES & BENEFITS • Works with incandescent, magnetic low voltage, halogen or neon/cold cathode lighting • Low-end trim available for setting the minimum brightness level • Emulates the characteristics of the dimmer that it is connected to in terms of dimming range and resolution • Works with any Dimensions Multi-zone Controller/Dimmer to extend load capacity on any zone

2.80 (71.1 mm)

4.72 (119.9 mm)

2.06 (52.3 mm)

MOUNTING All Power Extenders must have 4-1/2" spacing above and below each unit for proper ventilation and heat dissipation (refer to figure 3). Line voltage wiring should be at least 6ft away from sound or electronic equipment wiring. Mount Power Extender to wall box with “TOP” facing up as follows: For Wall Box Mounting (refer to figure 1), for Flush Mounting (refer to figure 2) and for Panel Mounting (not shown), proceed as follows: a. The enclosure must be in accordance with all local and national electrical codes. b. Leviton DOES NOT recommend using a door to enclose the front of a panel, since this restricts airflow to the controls. c. If mounting multiple controls in an enclosure: • Ambient timperature within an enclosure “MUST REMAIN BETWEEN”32 o-104o F (0 o-40 oC). • If not mounting in a metal enclosure, all units “MUST” be mounted in a wall box. d. To improve heat dissipation of controls, remove the faceplate from the unit.

Self-Contained PIR Ceiling Mount Occupancy Sensor

BASIC OPERATION The ODC0S-I uses passive infrared (PIR) detection technology to monitor a room for occupancy through a segmented Fresnel lens. This specialized lens divides the field-of-view into sensor zones. When a person passes into or out of a sensor zone, the sensor detects motion and switches its lighting loads ON. The lights will remain ON as long as there is an occupant moving through the sensor zones. APPLICATIONS Leviton’s Self-Contained Passive Infrared Ceiling Occupancy Sensor is the cost-effective choice for commercial and institutional installations, where installation of the recessed ceiling unit is difficult, inconvenient or costly. Available in 120V, 220V and 277V versions, the ODC0S-I is ideal for: • Storage areas • Small bathrooms • Retrofit • Copy rooms • Mop/sink closets • Small spaces without wall switches. The Self-Contained Ceiling Sensor does not require an external control unit for power or switching the load ON and OFF.

FEATURES • Sensor and switching relay in one unit—reduces labor and need for additional materials. • 360° field-of-view with approximately 530 sq. ft. of coverage when mounted at 8 ft. This reduces the number of additional sensors typically required in many spaces. • Adjustable Delayed-OFF time setting between 20 seconds and 15 minutes allows custom adjustment for maximum savings. • Light Sensor - an ambient light override option can be set between 2 and 500+ foot candles and full brightness to prevent the sensor from switching lights ON when ample natural sunlight is available. Hold-OFF feature. • Segmented Fresnel lens contains 79 segments for optimum sensitivity and detection performance. • A standard A/C toggle switch may be used to provide manual-OFF override so that lights may be switched OFF. • Red LED indicator light flashes when sensor detects motion, to verify power placement and function of sensor at installation.

product data INSTALLATION The ideal location for the Self-Contained Occupancy Sensor unit is in a ceiling area that provides a full view of the space with an unobstructed path to the entrance way(s), but out of line from hallway traffic. The sensor should be positioned at least 6 feet from HVAC registers to prevent false triggering. The ODC0S-I may be mounted directly to a three or fourinch octagon box. The sensor wires directly to the lighting fixtures. An ODCCG protective cage is recommended to guard against accidental breakage.

PRODUCT DATA

OSFHU Passive Infrared Fixture Mount High Bay Occupancy Sensor

BASIC OPERATION Passive Infrared Technology (PIR) is used to sense occupancy by comparing the infrared energy from an object in motion and the background space. PIR sensors minimize false ON from background environmental conditions such as air movement to provide reliable detection of lineof-sight motion. The OSFHU high-bay occupancy sensor is specifically designed for high mounted areas such as warehouses, manufacturing and other high ceiling applications. The OSFHU installs directly to an industrial fluorescent luminaire or an electrical junction box. It is a self-contained sensor and relay that turns individual light fixtures ON or OFF based on occupancy in the detection zone. It comes with three interchangeable lenses for use in either a 360° high-bay or 360° low-bay general area or an aisle way. The OSFHU provides reliable coverage up to 40 ft. mounting heights. The OSFHU is also available in a model for cold storage applications with temperatures as low as -40° F.

To improve the field-of-view for deep body fixtures, a separate offset adapter accessory (OSFLO or OSFOA) can be used to position the sensor below the fixture body. The adapter simply snaps into a 1/2” knockout on the end of the industrial fixture to attach the sensor. The OSFHU and OSFLO/OSFOA provides the most labor savings available with quick snap, 42” wire leads, and no power required to configure. INSTALLATION The OSFHU mounts directly to an industrial fluorescent fixture or an electrical junction box through a standard 1/2” knockout using the provided lock-nut. Wiring is connected inside the fixture body. For deep body fixtures, the OSFLO or OSFOA accessory installs into the fixture 1/2” knockout using the provided lock-nut. The OSFHU sensor is installed in one of three, 1/2” punch-outs positioning the OSFHU at the correct field-of-view position flush or below the fixture reflector assembly. When applicable, wiring is routed through the OSFLO or OSFOA to the fixture body for wiring.

OSC04-IOW OSC15-IOW

Occupancy Sensor Infrared Ceiling Sensor The all-digital & microprocessor based OSCxx-I is the most advanced infrared ceiling sensor available. Self-calibrating sensitivity and timer allow the installer to “install & forget.” THE OSCXX-I OCCUPANCY DETECTOR • PASSIVE INFRARED TECHNOLOGY (PIR) • SIMPLE, FAST INSTALLATION • SELF-ADJUSTING • DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY, COMPLETE RELIABILITY • PHOTOCELL CONTROL • IMMUNITY TO AIR CURRENTS GENERAL OPERATION The OSCxx-IOW Infrared Ceiling Sensor is a low voltage occupancy detector that works in conjunction with the Leviton OSPxx power pack to control lighting. The detector’s main function is to turn the lights on or maintain the lights on while movement is detected within the sensor’s range and to turn the lights off when the space is left unoccupied. The sensor uses a small semiconductor heat detector that resides behind a multi-zone optical lens. This Fresnel lens establishes dozens of zones of detection. The sensor is sensitive to the heat emitted by the human body. In order to trigger the sensor, the source of heat must move from one zone of sensing to another. Non-moving hot objects will not cause the lights to turn on.

Small Size: Installed sensor appears almost invisible. Fast, Simple Installation: Easy ceiling mount, three wire connection (low voltage) and twist-lock sensor attachment. Self-Adapting: An internal microprocessor continually analyzes, evaluates and adjusts settings. Performance is kept at a maximum and user complaints are eliminated. Maximum Reliability, Low Cost: All digital circuitry uses a minimum of components. Timer Setting: Automatic - 30s to 30 min. Manual and Automatic. Test mode - 6 sec. Ambient Light Recognition: A photocell prevents lights from turning on when the room is adequately lit by natural light. Non-Volatile Memory: Learned and adjusted settings saved in protected memory are not lost during power outages.

HOW THE ODC04-I AUTOMATICALLY ADAPTS Condition Timer Left In Test Mode - The sensor remains in an 6 sec. test mode.

Example An installer accidentally leaves the sensor in the 6 sec. timer test mode and the lights may go off or on every 6 sec.

Adaptive Reaction The sensor automatically resets the timer to 10 min after . 15 .min of test mode.

False-On -The sensor incorrectly turns the lights on.

The sensor detects movement in the corridor or hallway and the room lights turn on.

After an initial movement is sensed, if another movement is not sensed within the timer setting then the delayed off time setting is automatically reduced.

False-Off -The sensor incorrectly turns the lights off.

The sensor does not detect movement because an occupant sits virtually motionless at a desk and the lights turn off.

If motion is sensed within a short period after the lights go off, then the current delayed off-time setting is increased.

A dedicated internal microprocessor continually analyzes the room environment and adjusts itself automatically. The internal timer and infrared sensitivity are automatically adjusted. Once installed, the OSCxx does not require manual adjustment or calibration.

OSC04-IOW OSC15-IOW

At a distance close to the sensor, slight movement can be sensed. As the distance away from the sensed increases, the space between the zones of sensitivity increases, and therefore the amount of motion required to trigger the sensor increases.

The sensor detects movement in the corridor or hallway and the room lights turn on.

After an initial movement is sensed, if another movement is not sensed within the timer setting then the delayed off time setting is automatically reduced.

False-Off - The sensor incorrectly turns the lights off.

The sensor does not detect movement because an occupant sits virtually motionless at a desk and the lights turn off.

If motion is sensed within a short period after the lights go off, then the current delayed off-time setting is increased.

BASIC Operation

Occupancy sensors have two tasks: 1) Keeping the lights ON while the room is occupied, and 2) Saving energy by keeping the lights OFF while the room is unoccupied. Passive Infrared (PIR) is an excellent and precise technology for initially turning the lights ON, but lacks sensitivity for minor motion at distances. Ultrasonic (U/S) technology provides maximum sensitivity with continuous reflective high frequeny waves. This is opitmal for keeping the lights ON. Leviton’s OSW12 sensor combines the benefits of both PIR and U/S technologies for unrivaled performance and reliability.

APPLICATIONS

• Cafeterias • Classrooms • Conference rooms • Computer rooms • Day care centers • Filing rooms • Offices with cubicles • Open areas • Partitioned restrooms • Storage rooms • Workspaces • Open warehouses • Executive, private and open offices

Features

• Multi-Technology: By using both PIR and U/S signals,

the sensor minimizes false triggering for high reliability.

How The OSW12-M Automatically Adapts

• Flexible Base Mounting: Supplied twist-and-lock base mount permits fast alignment. Supplied cover hides mounting hardware and wires. Can be used with raceways for hard surface installations. Adjustable canopy for wall or ceiling mount. • Wide Coverage: Over 1200 sq. ft of coverage. • Fast, Simple Installation: A single mounting post and three color coded wires make installation easy. lly • Self-Adjusting: Internal microprocessor continua analyzes, evaluates and adjusts sensitivity and time delay settings. Performance is kept at a maximum and user complaints are eliminated. • Non-Volatile Memory: Learned and adjusted settings saved in protected memory are not lost during power outages. • Timer Setting Feature: Automatic – 30sec – 30min. Test mode – 6sec with auto exit programming. • Ambient Light Recognition: A Light Sensor prevents lights from turning on when the room is adequately lit by natural light. • Walk-Through: Provides increased energy savings by decreasing the time delay to 2.5min when someone momentarily walks through the monitored space. • Custom off-white color matched for shaded ceiling/ corner spaces and most common ceiling tiles. • Uses OSPxx Series Power Pack: Uses Class 2, 24 volt wiring, three wire connection (low voltage). Multiple sensors can control single or multiple power packs. • Power base (OPB 15) available for line voltage applications • High Motion Sensitivity: The large lens area and multi-element lens design give excellent range and sensitivity. • Infrared Sensing: High sensitivity 9.8 micron detector dual element. • Device: High-impact housing and injection molded plastic. Color coded wire leads are 6” long (16.24 cm). • Lens: 110˚ aperture, lens opening 2.2” x 1.47”, 36 elements (72 zones) small motion range 31 ft, large motion 68 ft

Condition Timer Left In Test Mode - The sensor remains in an 6 sec. test mode.

Example An installer accidentally leaves the sensor in the 6 sec. timer test mode and the lights may go off or on every 6 sec.

Self-Adaptive Reaction The sensor automatically resets the timer to 10 min after . 15 min of test mode.

False-On - The sensor incorrectly turns the lights on.

OSP/OSA Power Pack Series

Containing both a 24VDC supply and a 20A line voltage relay for most models, the Leviton compact Power Pack provides low voltage power and line voltage control for Leviton Occupancy Sensors. Versions include Auto-ON and ManualON inputs for occupancy sensors, Hold-ON and Hold-OFF capabilities, and a local input for momentary or maintained dry contact switches. The internal relay can control up to 20A for 120, 230, 277VAC or 347VAC ballast loads and 120VAC incandescent loads. FEATURES • Provides automatic switching for two separate banks of fluorescent, incandescent, or low-voltage lighting from a single unit. • Convenient dual pushbuttons provide manual-ON/ OFF light switching of each load at any time. • ODSOD-ID Conference Room Mode—primary and secondary relays switch lighting to last ON/OFF status when personnel enter room, providing a consistent lighting level from one occupancy period to the next. Both relays respond to Ambient Light Override, preventing lights from turning ON automatically during periods of ample natural light, for increased energy savings. • ODS0D-ID Classroom Mode—both primary and secondary relays always switch lighting ON when personnel enter room, regardless of their ON/OFF status during last period of occupancy. Secondary relay only responds to Ambient Light Override—primary does not, ensuring that students and personnel never enter a darkened room. • Presentation Mode feature for slide or film presentations allows push buttons to turn lights OFF and keep them OFF while the room is occupied. • Auto adapting delayed-OFF time interval compensates for real-time occupancy patterns, preventing unnecessary ON/OFF switching. • Exclusive Walk-Through feature provides increased energy savings by not leaving the lights ON for an extended period after only momentary occupancy. • Non-Adaptive Mode disables Self-Adjusting DelayedOFF Time and Walk-Through feature in applications where these features are not desired. • Daylight harvesting light sensor measures the ambient light in the room when it first detects motion. It leaves the lights OFF if there is enough light in the room or turns the lights connected to the first relay ON if there is not enough light in the room. • Low-profile design eliminates obtrusive “scanningdevice” look. Elegant Decora wallplates complement any interior for sleek aesthetics; uses Decora wallplates and coordinates with Leviton’s popular line of Decora wiring devices. • 180° field-of-view provides approximately 2100 square feet of coverage, suitable for a variety of commercial areas. • Segmented Fresnel lens provides optimum sensitivity and performance. Designed with an extensive “minor motion” area where even slight body movements will be detected. • Patented blinders: horizontal field-of-view may be adjusted between 180° and 60° arc by using integral blinders located on either side of the lens. FIELD-OF-VIEW The ODS0D provides a 180° field-of-view with a maximum coverage area of approximately 2100 square feet. The maximum sensing distance in front of the sensor is 40 feet, and at each side is 30 feet. The “minor motion” zone detects relatively small body movements and allows the lights to stay ON even though a person may not be moving or walking around the room. The remainder of the field-of-view, the “major motion” zone, exhibits a lesser degree of sensitivity and requires larger movements.

INSTALLATION The ODS0D is designed to control two separate lighting loads for bi-level or A/B switching (inner and outer banks of fluorescent lighting or separate banks of incandescent lighting) in the area it is monitoring. The light sensor Ambient Light Override is an important energy-saving, daylight harvesting feature that also distinguishes the functioning of the Conference Room and Classroom modes (see “Operation Modes”). The Ambient Light Override should always be adjusted during the time of day when the ambient light is at a level where no additional lighting is required. Exclusive auto-adapting operating features will automatically compensate for real-time occupancy patterns to provide maximum convenience and energy savings.

PRODUCT DATA

Decora® Wall Switch Multi-Technology Occupancy Sensor

OSSMT-MD/GD

The PIR sensors provide immunity to false ON through a specialized Fresnel lens which divides the field-ofview into sensor zones. When a person passes into or out of a sensor zone, the sensor detects motion and switches the lights ON. The Ultrasonic (U/S) sensors provide maximum sensitivity and range in difficult spaces with irregular shaped rooms and partitions that can block the PIR field-of-view. A pair of U/S sensors will detect Doppler shifts caused by motion in a space preventing false OFF. These sensors are more sensitive to small movements since they do not rely on zones.

SELF-ADAPTIVE TECHNOLOGY Designed for “install and forget” use, the OSSMT automatically analyzes room conditions and adapts to errors or changing environment. HOW THE OSSMT-MD AUTOMATICALLY ADAPTS CONDITION

EXAMPLE

ADAPTIVE REACTION

False-ON: Sensor incorrectly turns the lights ON.

The sensor detects movement in the corridor or hallway and the room light turns ON.

After an initial movement is sensed, if another movement is not sensed within the timer setting the delayed off-time setting is automatically reduced.

False-OFF: Sensor incorrectly turns the lights OFF.

The sensor does not detect movement because an occupant is virtually motionless and the lights turn OFF.

If motion is detected shortly after the lights go OFF, the current delayed offtime setting is increased.

APPLICATIONS Leviton’s OSSMT Multi-Technology Decora Wall Switch Occupancy Sensor is used to provide automatic lighting control for energy savings and convenience in a variety of commercial applications: • Retrofit • Private and executive offices • Conference rooms • Storage areas • Restrooms • Classrooms • Lounges • Training areas • Multi-location switching (similar to 3-way) Leviton Mfg. Co., Inc. Lighting & Energy Solutions 201 N. Service Rd. Melville, NY 11747-3138 Tech Line: 1-800-824-3005 Fax: 1-800-832-9538 www.leviton.com/les © 2011 Leviton Manufacturing Co., Inc. OSSMT

BASIC OPERATION Occupancy sensors have two tasks: keeping the lights ON while the space is occupied and turning the lights OFF when unoccupied.

FEATURES • Fast, simple Installation: Fits in a standard wall box and replaces a single-pole wall-switch; neutral and no neutral options available. Sensor can be ganged together with other units in a multiple-switch wall plate. • Low-profile design eliminates obtrusive “scanning-device” look. Elegant Decora wallplates complement any interior for sleek aesthetics; uses Decora wallplates and coordinates with Leviton’s popular line of Decora wiring devices. • Convenient Pushbutton provides manual-ON/OFF light switching at any time. • Segmented Fresnel lens provides optimum sensitivity and performance. Designed with an extensive “minor motion” area where even slight body movements will be detected. • Vandal resistant PIR lens. • Patented Blinders: Adjustable horizontal field-of-view (PIR may be adjusted between 180° and 60° of arc by using integral blinders located on either side of the lens). No masking required. • Manual-ON/auto-OFF mode for installations where manual-ON switching is required but auto-OFF switching is still desired for CEC Title 24 energy savings. • To comply with CED Title 24, LED indicator light flashes when sensor detects motion to verify detection is active. Green flashes for ultrasonic, red flashes for PIR. • Time: The delayed OFF time is preset at 30 minutes in the Auto Adapting mode. A choice of four delayed-OFF time settings are available: 30-seconds (for walking test purposes only), 10, 20, and 30 minutes for fixed time and auto adapting. The LED will flash when the adjusting knob is set to the indicated time value. • Ambient Light Recognition: Integrated light sensor prevents lights from turning on when the room is adequately illuminated by natural light. • Self-Adaptive Technology: Callbacks for adjustment are eliminated. Time delay and sensitivity settings are continually adjusted to occupant patterns of use in auto adapt mode. • Exclusive Walk-through Feature provides increased energy savings by not leaving the lights ON for an extended period after only momentary occupancy. • Vacancy Confirmation: When the time out expires and the relays turn OFF, a 30 second (OSSMT-G) or 40 second (OSSMT-M) vacancy confirmation exists to turn the relays back on. • False detection circuitry. • Small Motion Sensitivity (U/S): Ultrasonic technology provides excellent minor motion sensitivity. • Ability to disable U/S (OSSMT-M). For added flexbility, OSSMT-G has the ability to disable both PIR and U/S. • Presentation Mode feature: For slide or film presentations, allows pushbuttons to turn lights OFF and keep them OFF while the room is occupied. • Exclusive Leviton H.I.S. Circuitry. Specifically designed to handle today’s high inrush electronic ballast loads and offer unmatched durability and service. • True Zero-Cross Relay switches at the zero crossing point of the AC power curve to ensure maximum contactor life and compatibility with electronic ballasts.

FIELD-OF-VIEW The OSSMT provides a 180° field-of-view with a maximum coverage area of approximately 2400 square feet. Dual Relay Decora® Wall Switch Multi-Technology Occupancy Sensors

OSSMD-FT

BASIC OPERATION The PIR is used to detect motion and turn lights ON, while either technology is used to keep lights ON while occupied. This allows the Ultrasonic (U/S) to be set to higher sensitivity levels minimizing false OFF conditions. The PIR portion gives immunity to false ON through a specialized lens that divides the field-ofview into sensor zones. When a person passes into or out of a sensor zone, the sensor detects motion and switches the primary lighting load ON while the secondary relay operaties in manual-ON/auto-OFF (MD/ GD models). With the FT models, both relays operate in auto-ON/auto-OFF. The lights will remain ON as long as there is an occupant moving through the sensor zones. The U/S sensors give maximum sensitivity and range in difficult spaces with irregular shaped rooms and partitions that can block the PIR field-of-view. The OSSMD also features the ability to turn off PIR or U/S to become a single tech device. APPLICATIONS • Private and Executive offices • Conference rooms • Daylight harvesting • Classrooms • Restrooms • Storage areas • Training areas • Multimedia rooms • Day care centers • Lounges • Retrofits • Bi-level or A/B switching • Multi-location switching (similar to 3-way)

The OSSMD provides automatic lighting control for two separate loads from a single unit. It is compatible with incandescent, fluorescent, low-voltage lighting, and fan loads. The unit features dual manual-override switches that can be used to toggle the ON/OFF status of each lighting load while an area is occupied. The OSSMD can be installed in place of two single-pole wall switches and fits in a standard single-gang wall box. To comply with CEC Title 24, the second relay is a manual-ON only. The OSSMD-FT is a Leviton exclusive model which also provides automatic switching of two spearate loads from a single unit. The unit features a single manual override switch for the first relay. The second, “fan relay”, is an auto-ON with relay 1 and has an extended time delay of 10 minutes after relay 1. This provides both energy efficiency and optimum ventilation control from a single device.

Decora® Wall Switch PIR Occupancy Sensor with LED NightLight

NightLight High Level

BASIC OPERATION The passive infrared (PIR) sensor detects motion from a heat-emitting source within its field-ofview to automatically switch lights ON and OFF, offering the same performance features as the ODS family of occupancy sensors. OSSNL has the ability to reduce (dim) and turn off the “Guide Light” function with a simple dial setting. The LED NightLight consumes less than 1/2 W providing energy savings and guide lighting when room lights are off. APPLICATIONS OSSNL is perfect for use in hospitality and health care facilities with either auto-ON or manual-ON settings with adjustable time delay settings of 30 seconds to 2 hours. The NightLight Occupancy Sensor Wall Switch can be used to provide automatic lighting control for energy savings and convenience in a variety of commercial applications, including: •  Hotel restrooms •  Conference rooms •  Small offices •  Storage areas

•  Hospital restrooms •  Classrooms •  Lounges •  Bathrooms

FEATURES

• Fits in standard wallbox and replaces single-pole wall switch; ground and neutral connection required. Gangable with other units. • Low-profile design eliminates obtrusive “scanningdevice” look. Elegant Decora wallplates complement any interior for sleek aesthetics; uses Decora wallplates and coordinates with Leviton’s popular line of Decora wiring devices. • 180° field-of-view provides approximately 2100 SF of coverage. • Convenient pushbutton provides manual-ON/OFF light switching at any time. • Two dual element PIR sensors used to widen detection range. • Segmented Fresnel lens provides optimum sensitivity and performance. Designed with an extensive “minor motion” area where even slight body movements will be detected. • Vandal resistant PIR lens. • Patented blinders - horizontal field-of-view may be adjusted between 180° and 60° of arc by using integral blinders located on either side of the lens. No masking tape required. • Manual-ON/auto-OFF mode for installations where manual-ON switching is required but auto-OFF switching is still desired for CEC Title 24 energy savings.

FEATURES CONT.

• To comply with T24, red LED indicator light flashes when sensor detects motion to verify detection is active. • Time Delay adjustment for delayed-OFF time settings of 30 seconds (for walking test), 10 minutes, 20 minutes, and 30 minutes. Allows customized adjustments to maximize energy savings. • Light Sensor Adjustable Ambient Light Override ranges from approximately 2 foot-candles (20 lux) to 500+ foot-candles (5000+ lux) to prevent lights from turning ON automatically during periods of ample natural light, increasing energy savings. • Light sensor enables the load hold-OFF feature once level has been set. • Vacancy confirmation - when the time out expires and the relays turn OFF, a 30 second vacancy confirmation exists to turn the relays back ON. • False detection circuitry. • Presentation Mode feature for slide or film presentations allows push buttons to turn lights OFF and keep them OFF while the room is occupied. • LED NightLight offers “Guide Light” functionality. • Adjustable NightLight illumination setting for continuous or dimmed NightLight. • NightLight Mode - the factory default setting for the NightLight Mode is Dimmed Mode. This means the NightLight will automatically dim to 5% of full brightness after 2 minutes of no occupancy when activated by the internal light sensor. • One unit can be used for 120V through 277V lighting. Compatible with both electronic and magnetic ballasts. • Relay switches at the zero crossing point of the AC power curve to ensure maximum contact life and compatibility with electronic ballasts. • Exclusive Levition H.I.S. Circuitry. Specifically designed to handle today’s high inrush electronic ballast loads and offer unmatched durability and service.

FIELD OF VIEW The OSSNL provides a 180° field of view with a maximum coverage area of approximately 2100 square feet. The maximum sensing distance in front of the sensor is 40 feet, and at each side is 30 feet. A “minor-motion” zone detects relatively small body movements and allows the lights to stay ON even though a person may not be moving or walking around the room. The remainder of the field of view, the “major-motion” zone, exhibits a lesser degree of sensitivity and requires larger movements. 40 TO P VIEW 30

INSTALLATION The OSSNL is preset to deliver optimum performance in a wide variety of applications without requiring any adjustments during installation. The unit may replace a single-pole wall switch mounted in a standard wall box. The unit must have a neutral and be properly grounded in order to operate. The unit’s integral blinders may be used to restrict the field-of-view to prevent unwanted detection of hallway traffic. It should be positioned at least 6 feet away from HVAC registers. Note that whenever the unit is powered up, it will take approximately 1 minute to begin normal operation. OSSNL/OSS10 Blue Black (Hot)
