PROJECT DESCRIPTION This project involves an additional turning lane at the intersection of County Road 111 and US 27. The project is currently scheduled to begin Fiscal Year 2008. This project is needed to improve safety at this intersection and furthers the County’s commitment to enhancing its road system. The County will benefit from the successful implementation of this project most importantly by reducing the possibility of accidents and fatalities and by alleviating traffic congestion.
ADDITIONAL NOTES The laws that govern this project comply with Florida Statutes 336.025 County Transportation System, Section 2 and Section 7 relating to the expenditures of gas tax revenues. This project will also require the longterm expenses of cyclical maintenance such as resurfacing, re-striping and pot-hole repairs thus having an impact on the County’s general fund which pays for the staff and operating expenses that will be needed to maintain the new turning lane.

This project is needed in order to improve safety and to reduce wear and tear on vehicles, including county police cars and highway trucks and to reduce maintenance costs over time. The County will benefit from the successful implementation of this project by alleviating less routine maintenance and fulfilling their commitment to enhance and maintain the County’s road system. ADDITIONAL NOTES The laws that govern this project comply with Florida Statutes 336.025 County Transportation System, Section 2 and Section 7 relating to the expenditures of gas tax revenues.
