1

A ecosystem is an area on Earth where plants and animals live together. Different ecosystems are called biomes. There are many different biomes on Earth. Spin a globe to see.

2

Spin the globe. I found Russia. The taiga biome is in Russia. This biome is cold. Coniferous trees grow in the taiga. A coniferous tree is a pine tree.

3

Spin the globe. I found Greenland. The tundra biome is in Greenland. This biome is the coldest. Trees cannot grow in the tundra.

4

Spin the globe. I found Africa. The savanna biome is in Africa. This biome is warm and wet. Tall grasses and wildflowers grow in the savanna.

5

Spin the globe. I found Mexico. The desert biome is in Mexico. This biome is hot and dry. The cactus plant grows in the desert.

6

Spin the globe. I found South America. The rainforest biome is in South America. This biome is warm and wet. Many plants like to grow in the rainforest.

7

Spin the globe. I found the Pacific Ocean. The marine biome is in the Pacific Ocean. This is a water biome. Seaweed grows in the marine biome.
