FULL DAY SAFARI 4X4 - Tahiti Safari Expedition It is now possible to discover the interior of polynesia’s largest island thanks to the pioneering spirit of Tahiti Safari Expedition, the company which started it all in 1990. Since that date, a select number of people have had the privilege to enjoy a hidden world of lakes, high cliffs, lush valleys and waterfalls, uninhabited since the arrival of western civilisation, 200 years ago. The expedition starts from the east coast before crossing the main crater in Papeeno Valley. You will discover all the lush vegetation of the interior of the island of Tahiti with its giant ferns, colourful plants and much more. You will see magnificent waterfalls, cross rivers and pure mountain streams and visit archaeological sites and the lake of Vaihiria. This Lake is known among locals for its large eels and nearby plantations of "fe'i" (mountain bananas). Make a stop for refreshments and a swim in a natural mountain pool before enjoying an excursion plate (not included) at La Maroto Restaurant with a panoramic view on the Papenoo valley. Beyond the beaches ! Come with us and cross the main crater, swim in cristal clear-waters. DAY CHARTER IN TETIAROA - Tahiti Voile et Lagon (Transfers not included) Rendezvous at 6:15 am at the dock, departure at 6:30am. Sailing time to Tetiaroa : about 2h15. You will board on the Vehia catamaran. After a quick breakfast we will take the sea at 6:30. During navigation, we often encouter whales from July to October. This is a beautiful spectacle as the crew do not hesitate to linger to contemplate. Dolphins are often in the game all along the year. After arrival at 9am on island we start disembarqment in zodiac and the visit of the bird island (motu Manu). Our guide will show you the different species of birds and the brown booby Red-footed Booby, Black-billed Tern and Crested Tern Yellow-billed, the Noddy and the great frigate. After the visit, we will give you an appointment for lunch. We will offer you local meals with drinks. The rest of the afternoon will be devoted to free activities typical of Polynesia: swimming in the warm clear waters, snorkeling, walking on the beach, lazing in the shade. WHALE WHATCHING (July to October only) - TOP DIVE Tahiti

This is whale season !!! Encounter the whales around Tahiti, solitary or with their offspring. Every year, from August to October, Polynesian waters welcome many humpback whales (Megaptera novaeangliae) coming to mate and give birth before returning to the South pole. In the comfort of a covered boats and in the hands of experienced diving instructors and divemasters onboard, you will find the best conditions for a safe approach with a deep respect for the animals. Sometimes you can get lucky and have an opportunity for a snorkeling session with some whales and their young. An unforgettable experience !. DOLPHIN ENCOUNTER - TOP DIVE Tahiti

EAST COAST HALF DAY TOUR (4h) - Unique Tahiti This fascinating tour of the North East Coast of Tahiti Nui takes us to the most historically rich corner of Tahiti Nui and encompasses all that the island has to offer. Museums, natural sites, breathtaking coastal and volcanic scenery, view points and local encounters are just a few of this tour's spectacular features. It is from the bay of Matavai that Tahiti was discovered by Captain Wallis. On the beach, walk in the footsteps of Captains Cook, Bougainville and Bligh, the mutineers of HMS Bounty, the first Protestant missionaries and more recently Marlon Brando. The 1962 version of Mutiny on the Bounty was filmed from this Bay. If available, we will visit the island home of the American author James Norman Hall who wrote the Mutiny on the Bounty, hear about the Mutiny and the descendants of the Mutineers - the Pitcairners. The view point of Tahara, or Squirmish Hill as it was named by Captain Walis provides a breathtaking view of Papeete with spectacular views of Moorea in the distance. In the Valley of Orofara meet the locals and visit their homes where they sell their carvings and souvenirs. The famous eels in the Orofara river always happy to be fed! The furthest stop on the tour is the the wonderful waterfall of Vaimahuta in the Tiare valley, as well as our ‘blow hole’ on the coast with stunning views down the East Coast. WEST COAST HALF DAY TOUR (4h) - Unique Tahiti Explore the island on a half day West Coast tour that combines all aspects of Polynesia in one compact tour. The drive south takes us along the delightful coast road surrounded by turquoise colored lagoon waters and dramatic volcanic scenery covered in luscious vegetation, waterfalls and geographical wonders. On the roadside enjoy the sights of local fishermen selling their daily catch or tradesman selling their fruits and local produce. The ancient religious site, the Marae of Arahuruhu set against a picturesque backdrop provides a real insight into ancient Polynesian culture, lifestyle and values. Marvel at the stunning fern Caves of Maraa, a local wonder, where the artist Paul Gauguin swam in the cool fresh waters with the local population. The botanical garden of Vaipahi with its picturesque waterfall, gets us up close to the vegetation to wonder at it's size and beauty. On a spectacular black volcanic sandy beach enjoy watching the surfers as they ride the waves right up on the shoreline, as we have an opportunity to wonder along the beach and take photographs of the spectacular scenery. A stop in a local village to wonder around one of the prettiest churches on the island and visit the local town hall built in traditional colonial style allows us to encounter the local population as they get on with their daily lives.
