New Neighbors FROM THE PRESIDENT

Wow, talk about how time flies! It seems like yesterday I walked into my first New Neighbors meeting knowing no one, and now graduation approaches - yikes! New Neighbors - what a fantastic experience it has been - so many new friends and acquaintances, so many adventures, so many memories! As my fellow graduates and I begin yet another chapter in our Landings life (one without name tags - scary) we will forever remember and be grateful for the friendships we forged. “Make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and the other gold” comes to mind. From those I’ve recently come to know, to those who I first met and all in between, I feel wealthy in friendships and blessed by each of you! It has been a great pleasure, privilege and honor to serve as New Neighbors President for the 2011-2012 year. To this year’s board, you did an awesome job! Thank you for your willingness to serve and help shape this year’s New Neighbors organization and for putting up with me. It’s not always easy “thinking outside the box” with an evening meeting, printing business cards, turning coffee into wine, establishing new activities, or reaching a new generation. You were truly a board of action, and lots of fun too! In identifying a slate of fabulous candidates for next year’s board, my thanks go to the nominating committee of Leanne Lenehan, Bailey Cronin, Annelie Liedtke, Katherine Crew, Christine Lind, and Kathy Zmijewski. New Neighbors will be in good hands!
