UIT DIE KANTOOR / FROM THE OFFICE Geagte Ouers / Dear Parents It is becoming very busy on the Eversdal Campus and it is quite a challenge to keep tabs on all the activities at the school. I want to express a sincere thanks to a great staff for everything they do on a daily basis. The teachers have the primary job to teach, the administrative staff to run all the administration and the sport staff to co-ordinate all that they are responsible for. Sonder julle sou ons dit nie kon doen nie. Communication Our new Website is up and running and we have been receiving many compliments. We need to stress that we are now looking at the different ways of communicating (through our website and social media – twitter, facebook, Blogs and we require feedback from our parent’s, in order for us to focus on only one or two mediums. Beheerliggaamverkiesing: Ons Beheerliggaamverkiesing is nou op hande en ons wil by die geleentheid weereens net baie dankie sê aan ons ouerlede van die vorige Beheerliggaam (Franzee Hess en Jacques Odendaal) vir al die harde werk wat hulle die vorige drie jaar gedoen het. Franzee het vir ons ongelooflike werk by Menslike Hulpbronne gedoen. Franzee en Jacques is altwee weer beskikbaar om op die beheerliggaam te dien.

We will also run the GOVERNING BODY ELECTIONS as a House competition and we promise a great surprise for our learners if we meet our quorum on the evening – maybe a civvies day? Our teachers will supervise the EVERS in the SKUUR if you do not have any supervision at home and have to bring them along. This will be done for the duration of the election. We are in need of at least 4 parents, who are either a physiotherapist or a Biokineticist, to volunteer in assisting our touch rugby players cramps or injuries during the attempt to break the Guinness World Record for touch rugby (30 hours). We are looking for a sponsorship regarding the Fun Run that takes place on Saturday, 14 March 2015. We are also in need of donations, gifts and prizes that we want to hand-out as part of lucky draws that will take place over this weekend. Volunteers to assist with the following events during the weekend: Touch Rugby Event (Fri, 13 March from 12:00 – 18:00 on Saturday, 14 March); Fun Run Event (Sat, 14 March from 07:30 – 10:00) – we need marshals to direct the runners; Swimming marathon (Friday, 13 March from 18:00 – 06:00 Saturday, 14 March) – we need supervisors. Tag-rugby for learners and parents on Saturday, 14 March from 10:00 – 17:30. Field Netball for learners and parents on Saturday, 14 March from 10:00 – 17:30. Hockey for learners and parents on Saturday, 14 March from 10:00 – 17:30.

Voltooi asseblief die afskeurstrokie en besorg terug aan die Sportkantoor teen Vrydag, 27 Februarie 2015. Ons wil graag ‘n getalle opname maak om sodoende die behoefte aan verversingstalletjies te bepaal. All learners that partake in the above-mentioned events during the weekend of 13 – 14 March 2015, need to wear their House clothing. Parents, you need to wear clothing that predominantly represents the House colour of your child(ren) (Tulbagh – White; Eksteen – Yellow and Verwey – Red). Parents and learners participating in the Fun Run on 14 March 2015, at 08:00 need to dress-up, as best dressed prizes are up for grabs!


