Message from the President Freeport Historical Society 50th Anniverary 1962-2012 Gala! This social event of the year was held at the Freeport junkyard on Buffalo Avenue and was thoroughly enjoyed by all. This fantastic venue, which is a museum in itself, was generously provided by the owner, Jim Ruocco. Thanks also to his assistant, Marie Costabile who took care of the arrangements. A memorable journal was organized by Bob and Jeanne Raynor and beautifully designed by Angela Taormina. Honored for their past and present service to the Historical Society were Isabelle Drach and Bob Raynor. Thanks also to the officers and trustees as well as Freeport businesses who provided gifts for our successful Chinese auction. Additionally, the officers and trustees were so helpful in making this such a rousing success.
