Romans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. Galatians 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. And he LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha." Matthew 13:16 But blessed are your eyes for they see: and your ears, for they hear. 2 Corinthians 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight) (1) The 5 physical senses provide natural information about the seen realm (a) Sight (b) Hearing (c) Smell (d) Taste (e) Touch (2) The word of God provides spiritual information about the unseen realm (a) The unseen spiritual realm (perceived by spiritual senses) (b) Spiritual eyes (c) Spiritual ears c) In the Garden, Adam and Eve’s spiritual eyes were open and they were designed to function like God d) Doubting Thomas

Miracle School ‘09 John 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. (1) Sense knowledge versus faith (a) Faith is based on spiritual knowledge which is information that comes from the Word of God. (b) Faith does not need evidence from the senses. (c) Faith agrees and believes the word of God (d) Faith is always now (God exists outside of time)

(2) Hardness of Heart (a) Relates more easily to the natural realm than the spiritual realm (b) Relies and believes what can be perceived by the senses more than the word of God (c) Relies on what you can taste, touch, feel, hear or smell Mark 6:52 For they considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened. Miracle School ‘09 c) If you have faith in an evil report, you are really trusting in the devil’s power to bring it to pass and guess what the evil report will come to pass d) If you have faith in a good report, you are trusting in God’s power to bring it to pass, and guess what, you will get it D. The God Kind of Faith (Mark 11:22) 1. God sees the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10) 2. God calls things that be not as though they were (Romans 4:17) 3. Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 1. Believing is a function of the heart a) Beliefs are stored at a subconscious level 2. Faith is your response to what you believe

Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. Mark 10:27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

It’s not enough to believe, you also have to say in order for faith to work 4. Faith without works is dead (James 2:20) a) In other words, faith without corresponding actions isn’t faith b) Or faith without words is dead 5. Faith is your positive response to what God has already done. (Andrew Wommack) a) It is your response to God’s grace b) It is not what you must do to make the Lord act on your behalf c) We only need to respond (or enforce) what he has already done. IV.
