SEA Staff Conference in Dodoma, Tanzania

The grace of God compels us to live our lives in a manner bringing us to a place where we think about the best interests of others more than we think about ourselves. The leadership of the SEA ministry deeply expresses gratitude to our Lord Jesus Christ for inspiring us and our staff team to come up with a compelling vision. The vision and the strategic plan is born out of a passion to see the countries in the Southern and Eastern Africa (SEA) Area experience a spiritual awakening, which will result in true transformation in the Area. Picture with us the fire of revival blazing in every city, district-township and village in the Area. When this

takes place, the scripture in 2 Chronicles 7:14 will be fulfilled: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” As you join us in prayer, we trust God will use you to be a part of accomplishing this task God has laid ahead of us.  Thank you for being part of this vision. Farai Katsande Area Team Leader Campus Crusade for Christ, Southern and Eastern Africa

DeepLife Project Jesus said, “Launch out into the deep.” This is a call to obedience for us also to become “deep water” Christians who are totally committed to serving God’s purpose in our generation and leave a legacy of spiritual multipliers. Through DeepLife we will see growth and multiplication in disciples as we invest our lives through teaching, modeling and multiplication. DeepLife is an opportunity for fruitfulness, growth, collaboration and unity in the body of Christ. Vision: Movements everywhere, so that everyone know someone who truly follows Christ. Mission: Aggressively evangelize, deeply build, and urgently multiply to launch movements and spark the fire of revival, within Southern and Eastern Africa, and bring holistic transformation among unreached people groups. Goals: The Project has four specific goals. • Recruit and train 100,000 leaders from January 2014 to October 2016.

• Plant and build 100,000 communities of multiplying disciples in at least 240 locations by December 2016. • Build and equip 1 million disciples. • To mobilize a minimum of 240 teams for prayer and fasting towards the growth of the movement. Partners: We are partnering with the body of Christ in all 24 countries in Southern and Eastern Africa. Among these partners are: JESUS Film Global Alliance for Church Multiplication GAiN

The Student-led Movement in Southern and Eastern Africa Southern and Eastern Africa Student-led Movement (SEA SLM) exists to help fulfill the Great Commission among and through this generation of college students. We desire to see God working through teams of like hearted students to win, build and send toward the fulfillment of Christ’s Great Commission. Recent efforts to send these Christ-centered multiplying disciples to launch spiritual movements, include: We had unique training and consultative meetings for 45 SLM leaders who came together from 18 countries to Harare, Zimbabwe, where we were able to set our clear organizational goals for the year 2020. Compared to the year 2013, we have seen the number of multiplying disciples increase by 24%, and 20% for Thursday, 9 April

engaged disciples, while our local and global sending increased by 31% as we were able to send 1,594 students on short-term mission projects in 2014. We had high school training for 26 leaders from 10 countries in Kenya. As a result, more teenagers are being reached with the gospel of Jesus Christ. All of this movement-building activity has been undergirded with much prayer and fasting. United and persistent prayer has been taking deep root and become a way of life. Staff and students have made a habit of fasting at least once per week. Friday, 10 April

Prayer Mobilization for Southern and Eastern Africa To help mobilize additional prayer for the SEA Area, an interactive prayer website has been developed by Campus Crusade for Christ. The site is www. pray4SEA.org. The purpose of the site is to promote and encourage prayer for the building of spiritual movements in the twenty-plus countries of the SEA Area. A weekly prayer focus email is sent to those who have subscribed to pray for current prayer requests of

the various countries. The email highlights a country in the Area and points them to pray specifically and strategically for these needs. The brief promo video http://tinyurl.com/pray4sea was created to enable subscribing intercessors to encourage others to join this prayer initiative. It describes Pray4SEA as well as explaining why prayer is needed and how to subscribe to begin receiving the weekly prayer focus emails.

Building an Indigitous Tribe in Africa What is Indigitous? Indigitous = indigenous + digital. It is a compound word describing a movement created by Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ, Int’l). It is passionate about connecting people to Jesus, using digital strategies. Using mobile phones to share Christ is one approach. The number of mobile phones in Southern and Eastern Africa has literally skyrocketed. There are Indigitous teams in

Uganda, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Zambia, South Africa, and Ethiopia. They are using digital tools, resources, platforms and strategies to accelerate the fulfillment of the Great Commission.

Tel-Eshtaol Tel-Eshtaol is a means of spreading the gospel through the combined use of social media and the telephone. It provides written materials for its Facebook audience and facilitates further services through its call center. Though the call center, TelEshtaol provides family and marriage counseling, youth counseling and prayer service. It also has recorded messages that people can listen to. It has a membership of more than 95,000 people. Saturday, 25 April

The Tel-Eshtaol ministry call center in Ethiopia has been giving due service to people from all over the nation. One day, a nun called and said, “I am calling from a convent. I have been trying to find righteousness by work. But now I have realized salvation can be found through Jesus Christ alone.” She had been following the ministry via Facebook. She asked how she could have eternal life by faith through grace. She invited Jesus into her life right there on the phone. Praise God! Uganda

Pray for the LIFE Ministry Uganda (LMU) staff members to focus on our primary goal - making disciples who are multiplying leaders.

God works through the prayers of His people to ignite spiritual movements. As Spiritfilled disciples “pray without ceasing,” the Lord increases faith, causes growth and brings about fruitfulness to glorify Himself (John 15:1-17). Stories are the building blocks of all movements. The early church multiplied as

the stories about Jesus spread everywhere. It continues to grow alongside stories of what He is doing now.
