WATER FILTRATION Water Quality Matters Maintaining excellent water quality is the secret to successful aquarium keeping, ensuring toxic compounds are kept to a minimum, oxygen levels are kept high and pH and its associated elements and compounds are maintained at stable levels will make all the difference to the wellbeing of your display and the livestock. Excellent water quality throughout the life of your aquarium will also give peace of mind in the unlikely event of an equipment failure. In an aquarium with less than adequate water quality, problems with animals and nuisance algae can soon start to accumulate and can be costly and distressing. Good water quality makes life for the animals within your display much easier. Your animals are more likely to feed vigourously, maintaining growth and development. This leads to a much better immune response, colours they exhibit and eventually better breeding.

CARBONactiveTM Removes unwanted organic and synthetic substances from aquarium water. Over 20 years experience in marine ornamental aquaculture and water processing has enabled New Era Aquaculture to supply specialist products for aquarium use as part of our technical filtration range. Carbonactive™ is made from bituminous coal processed to the highest degree. Extruded into pellets of a specific diameter and length, Carbonactive™ provides the optimum surface area for maximum water:media exposure, increasing efficiency and time of molecular uptake. Used strategically, the fast absorption properties of Carbonactive™ mean minimum exposure to livestock whilst ensuring optimum water quality. Sizes: 250g, 1kg, 14kg

Phosphate Remover (not available in the UK) A highly effective chemical binder for the reliable removal of phosphates (PO4) from aquarium water. It will also assist in the reduction of unwanted silicate (SiO2). With a high retention profile and once saturated will not release PO4 back into the aquarium water. Capacity: >50g PO4/kg, Surface area: 300m2/g, Gradual Size: 0.5-2.0 Size: 400g
