Santa Ciaus to Visit In Marfa Saturday; Window Contest Set Santa Claus will come to Marfa Saturday afternoon and will pass out candy to Marfa youngsters after a brief street parade, it was announced this week by S. B. Phillips, president of the Chamber of Commerce, who arranged for the visit. The famous old character will not appear with his reindeer this year in Marfa, as he has for two previous years, since it was impossible to arrange that visit. Mr. Phillips said. He will show up at 2:30 Saturday himself, however, and the Marfa fire department has agreed to lend him a fire truck in which to parade up Highland avenue. The parade, to start at 2:30. will be led by the high school band, and will also feature many of the new car models now on display at Marfa auto dealers, Mr. Phillips said. The line of march will be from the Beta Sigma Phi building (former U S O building) to the courthouse. At the courthouse Santa — assisted by members of the Chamber of Commerce—will pass out sacks of candy to the city's youngsters. Youngsters must form in line there to receive the candy, so that the giving may be expedited, according to Santa's orders as relayed through Mr. Phillips. H e also pointed
