Terms & Conditions 1. All verbal bookings will be treated as provisional and will be held for no longer than 14 days pending receipt of written confirmation and the appropriate deposit or 14 days prior to the event, whichever shall be the sooner. 2a. Party nights & Hogmanay Ball – Deposit required is £10.00 per person and all bookings not paid in full by 28 days prior to the event or by 30th November, whichever is earlier, will be deemed to have cancelled and any monies paid will be retained by the hotel 2b. Hogmanay Ball tickets – Deposit required is £30.00 per person and all bookings to be paid in full by 30th November. 2c. Hogmanay Ball package – Deposit required is £50.00 per person and all bookings to be paid in full by 30th November.

13. Adults only events for Christmas Party Nights and Hogmanay Ball. All prices are inclusive of VAT. If the general rate of VAT is altered, our prices will be modified accordingly. Gratuities are at the guest’s discretion. 14. Guests are recommended to have and be responsible for insurance to cover cancellation, curtailment and loss of baggage, personal effects and money when taking an Event or Package featured in this brochure. Please contact your insurance company or brochure for further information. 15. In the interest of safety of guests, food and drinks are strictly prohibited from the dance area. In the event of any spillage of food or drinks on the dance floor, guests are to inform any member of the hotel staff immediately.

2d. Christmas Day Luncheon – Deposit required is £5.00 per person and all bookings to be paid in full by 14 days prior.

16. Other than for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, our liability to you and your guests taken in the aggregate, is limited to the price of your booking.

2e. Festive Lunches – Deposit required is £5.00 per person and all booking balances can be paid on the day.

17. Please address any comments to the Duty Manager during your visit or in writing within 7 days of the event.

3. Should your numbers reduce between the time of booking and making final payments deposits already paid cannot be used against the final balance. The organiser is responsible for collecting payments for deposits and final balances and to pay this by the agreed date.

18. These terms are deemed to incorporate the Lorne Hotel’s General Terms and Conditions, copies of which are available on request and which can also be viewed on the Lorne Hotel’s website: www.lornehotelglasgow.com. In the event of any inconsistency, the terms of this agreement shall prevail.

4. Monies paid for non-arrivals are forfeited and cannot be transferred to cover food, drinks, entertainment or overnight accommodation for other members of the party.

19. We ask for all menu choices, final payment, rooming list and any table plans (which should be approved by the hotel) to be received at the hotel at least four weeks prior to your event or by 30th November (whichever is the sooner). We are unable to accept the above information in any other format than that which we supply. Final payment should be made in the same way as your deposit.

5. All events and timings are subject to approval by the local licensing authorities. All statutory licensing regulations apply. 6. The information in this brochure is correct at the time of printing. The hotel reserves the right to amend its Packages, Parties & Events and prices at any time before booking. Bookings are subject to availability and prices quoted at the time of booking. 7. Christmas Party night menu pre-orders are required a minimum of 28 days prior to the event and Festive Lunches and Christmas Day Luncheon preorders are required a minimum of 14 days prior. 8. All pre booked beverages are to be paid for no later than 14 days prior to your event, should this not be received the pre order will be cancelled. The management reserves the right to refuse the service of alcoholic drinks, no food or beverage can be brought onto the premises for consumption. 9. Except in respect of changes to the rate of VAT, prices will not change once a booking has been confirmed. The hotel reserves the right to alter or amend the contents of a Party, Event or Package or to cancel an event or package for any reason, for example if there is a shortfall in the minimum numbers required to operate a program. In such circumstances you may choose an alternative date subject to availability, or request a full refund of the money paid to the hotel. 10. All additional charges incurred during the event must be settled prior to departure. 11. Menus shown in this brochure and/or in other collateral relating to these events and packages are only to provide an indication of the dishes likely to be featured. Dependent on market and product availability, the hotel reserves the right to amend such dishes and/or to offer suitable alternatives which will be advised in good time prior to the stated Event or Package. 12. Some of our dishes may contain ingredients which could cause an allergic reaction. Guests subject to allergies are advised to check beforehand so that alternative ingredients or dishes can be provided.

20. Your party planner will send you a pre-order form (not applicable to party lunches) that you should use to complete all guests names and menu choices plus any special dietary requirements. Table plans must be provided and agreed for all parties. Regrettably if we do not receive menu choices tables plans by the agreed times then the hotel will provide a table plan and set menu for all guests attending your party. 21. We will endeavour to seat parties together however due to large amounts of smaller parties tables may be shared and larger parties may be spread between several tables. A mix of round and trestle tables will be used and we may not be able to confirm layout prior to your event. 22. Parties of 25 people or over will be required to contract a minimum number which is fully chargeable. 23. All Christmas Party nights accommodation rates are subject to availability (advance booking is recommended) and must be guaranteed by credit or debit card, bedrooms can be cancelled up to 48 hours prior to arrival, after this period the full accommodation rate will be charged. A party of 10 or more rooms will be subject to a group agreement. 24. ‘Challenge 25’ is a mandatory condition that by law we must adhere to in relation to the sale of alcohol. We ask that the event organiser make all guests attending your event here at The Lorne Hotel are aware of this law and that photographic identification may be asked to clarify their age. So if you are lucky enough to look under 25 you will be asked to prove that you are aged 18 or over when you buy alcohol. 25. Service will not be delayed for late comers; any late arrivals will join at the course that is being served. 26. The bar will be open on Christmas Day until 9.30pm with last orders at 9pm.
