The National Federation and Organising committee are obliged to ensure that the mandatory sections in the approved schedule are forwarded to guest NFs and Officials for their information.

N.B. All text in GREEN must be carefully noted by Organising Committees and NF and be deleted from the schedule before printing, ONLY after the final approval of the FEI.

NOTICE FOR ALL INTERNATIONAL EVENTS Any competitions other than those covered in the Rules for Jumping Events must be approved by the FEI before they may be added to the schedule Schedules for CSI Cat. A for P/Ch/J/YR/V, CSIs 3*, 4*, 5*, CSIOs, CSI-Ws, Championships and Games are approved by the FEI. Schedules for these events must be sent by the NF concerned to the FEI Headquarter for approval, at least 16 weeks before the event is due to take place. Final approval of the draft schedule by the FEI, in accordance with Art. 115.1, denotes only that the contents conform to the FEI Statutes, General Regulations and Rules. By no means does this entail implicit acceptance of any liability by the FEI for any damages to third parties caused by the Organising Committee and its officials, athletes, owners and horses.

IMPORTANT The Definite schedule must be sent to the FEI Headquarter by the NFs concerned, no later than 4 weeks before the event takes place.

Jumping Championships : Each National federation may enter one team of not more than five athletes and five horses and four to start in the team Championships. V. FACILITIES OFFERED (Art. 132, 133) The names of athletes, chef d’équipes, grooms and veterinarians who need meals have to be given the OC with the definite entries, in order to enable the OC to make a respective planning. 1. ATHLETES All athletes are participating at their own expense. A list of nearby hotels is included. The National Federation of each team has to book accommodation for his athletes and chef d’équipes. Meals : All athletes of the CH-EU-Ch will receive meal-tickets (lunch and dinner). Meals for the athletes of the CH-EU-Ch are available from Thursday evening 23rd July 2009 till Sunday evening 26th July 2009. Meals ticket are to be collected by the chef d’équipes at the general secretary at OC cost.

Sufficient sanitary and showering facilities for male and female grooms, with hot and cold water will be provided by the Organising Committee. Meals : At their own expense. OCs must provide sufficient sanitary and showering facilities, with hot and cold water for male and female grooms. These must be regularly maintained in a proper state of cleanliness.

3. HORSES The bedding of all stables will be shavings. There is no straw available. All the bedding of shavings is provided free of charge, with a maximum of 2 extra bales of shavings per box. Additional bedding (hay) can be bought within the stable area at current prices and during certain hours. The stables will be ready from Wednesday July 22nd 2009. The time and date of arrival of athletes and horses and their means of transport must be given to the Org. Com., on the entry form, to facilitate them on arrival. All horses are to be on the showgrounds before 17.00 h on Thursday. If electricity (60 euro) is required, please confirm beforehand on the entry sheet.

Each National Federation is responsible for the travelling expenses of their chef d’équipe, athletes, trainers, veterinarians, grooms and ponies to and from the location of the Championships. No transport from and to hotels is foreseen by the OC. 5. ADVERTISING AND PUBLICITY ON ATHLETES AND HORSES (Art. 136.1-2) The athletes are authorised to carry their "LOGO" of their personal sponsor on the saddle clothe in accordance with Art. 136.1-2. The Chief Steward will check that the advertising and publicity on athletes and horses complies with Article 136 of the General Regulations. The Chief Steward is responsible for ensuring that FEI regulations relating to Art. 136 are respected by athletes before entering the arena. Athletes not complying with Art. 136 will not be permitted to enter the arena during the competition. 6. SOCIAL -

7. PAYMENTS - Payments for entries, stables, MCP or other costs not settled beforehand by banking transfer, are to be done at the show secretary on Sunday 26th July 2009. - Will be accepted as valid methods of payment : cash, Visa, Master card and American Express. No foreign cheques accepted.

VI.

MISCELLANEOUS

1. PROTESTS All protests to be valid must be made in writing and accompanied by a deposit of CHF 150.or equivalent. 2. GENERAL CLASSIFICATION AT THE END OF THE COMPETITIONS AND PRIZE-CLASSIFICATION The winner, the second and third placed athlete will get a prize. Every placed horse gets a ribbon. Prices in kind for all classes. 3. PRIZE GIVING CEREMONY The athletes must take part in the prize giving ceremony on the horse they started in the corresponding competition. The first 8 athletes of the class must present themselves in the prize giving ceremony. 4. INSURANCES The OC and its commissioners are not responsible for damages done to property, persons and fortune, caused by accidents and malady of athletes, horses and stable staff. Damages on coaches, harnesses, saddlery, stable utensils and all other objects (including damages of theft, fire) or other incidents are not under responsibility of the OC and its commissioners. All owners and athletes are personally responsible for damages to third parties caused by themselves, their employees, their agents or their horse. They are therefore strongly advised to take out a third-party insurance providing full coverage for participation in equestrian events at home and abroad, and to keep the policy up to date. 5. EVENT'S ORGANISATION (Art. 114 - 115) In exceptional circumstances together with the approval of the Ground Jury the OC reserves the right to modify the schedule in order to clarify any matters or matters arising from an omission or due to unforeseen circumstances. Any such changes will be notified to all competitors and Officials as soon as possible and they will be reported to the Sec. Gen. of the FEI by the Foreign Judge. JPA updated 3/12/8

ENTRY RIGHT TO SHOWGROUNDS (Art. 133, 1005) Individual athletes with two companions (according to the FEI-General Reg), all grooms, chef d’équipes and official staff confirmed by the national federations. These show passes allow access all over the show ground. Public entrance is free, however they can only enter the public area’s , not the stabling area The use of all motorized vehicles, including motorcycles, mopeds and quad bikes on the showground, cross country course and near the stables is strictly prohibited. Only bicycles may be used. 9. SCHOOLING DURING COMPETITIONS Training areas with practice obstacles are on the show grounds at the athletes disposal. No riding is allowed outside these dimensions of training areas. Schooling hours on the paddocks or main ring are allowed in the time between 1 hour before the first class and half an hour after the last class. The training schedule will be published at the sect. Office.

10. OBJECTIONS/COMPLAINTS (Art. 167-171) All complaints and objections to be valid must be made in writing and accompanied by a deposit of CHF 150.- or equivalent. In the event of any discussion concerning the interpretation of the schedule (in translated languages), the English version will be decisive. Once the entry has been made all athletes and owners accept the rules of the CH-EU-Ch 24-26th July 2009 MOORSELE, as well as the conditions of the Organising Committee. 11. MEETING CHEF D’EQUIPE -

12. OPENING CEREMONY AND WELCOME DRINK Opening Ceremony: Thursday 23th of July 2009 19,00 h on foot. On Thursday 23th July 2009 at 20.00 o’clock, all athletes, chef d’équipes, officials, grooms, staff, parents, etc are invited for the opening reception offered by KBRSF.

THE FEI CODE OF CONDUCT FOR THE WELFARE OF THE HORSE The Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) expects all those involved in international equestrian sport to adhere to the FEI’s Code of Conduct and to acknowledge and accept that at all times the welfare of the horse must be paramount and must never be subordinated to competitive or commercial influences. 1.

At all stages during the preparation and training of competition horses, welfare must take precedence over all other demands. This includes good horse management, training methods, farriery and tack, and transportation.

2.

Horses and Athletes must be fit, competent and in good health before they are allowed to compete. This encompasses medication use, surgical procedures that threaten welfare or safety, pregnancy in mares and the misuse of aids.

3.

Events must not prejudice horse welfare. This involves paying careful attention to the competition areas, ground surfaces, weather conditions, stabling, site safety and fitness of the horse for onward travel after the event.

4.

Every effort must be made to ensure that horses receive proper attention after they have competed and that they are treated humanely when their competition careers are over. This covers proper veterinary care, competition injuries, euthanasia and retirement.

5.

The FEI urges all involved with the sport to attain the highest levels of education in their areas of expertise.

3.Individual Championships This competition consists of two rounds A and B judged under Table A, not against the clock, with a jump-off against the clock for first, second and/or third place with a speed of 350m/min. (Art 283.3.2). This competition is compulsory for the 30 best athletes and horses (including those placed equal for the 30th place) according to the accumulative penalties over the first and second qualifying competition. All athletes who complete Round A go forward to round B. The faults in both rounds are added. Athletes will be invited to inspect the course of round B. The starting order for round A will follow the reverse order of penalties incurred in the first and second qualifying competitions of the Championship.In the event of equality of penalties for any placing, the time of the first qualifying competition will be the deciding factor for the starting order of the athletes. The 30th qualified will therefore start as number one. The starting order for round B will follow the reverse order of the penalties incurred in the first and second qualifying competitions as well as round A. The athlete with the greatest number of penalties will start first. The athlete with the least penalties will start last. In the event of athletes with equal penalties, the time of the first qualifying competition will be the deciding factor for the starting order. Starting order : draw in presence of chefs d’équipes. 5.Team Championships and second Qualifying Competition Indiv.Champ. This competition is open only to those athletes and horses which have taken part in the first competition. 10 to 17 obstacles This competiton is run in two rounds according to Table A not against the clock with a possible jump-off against the clock in case of equality for first, second and/or third place. Speed 350m/min The host nation may compete as a ninth team if not placed among the aforementioned eight teams. 1.20 m max height –1.30 m max spread ; 1.40 m max spread for the triple bars. Starting order will be according to a draw, in the first round. In the second round, the order of starting will be according to the reverse order of penalties incurred in the first round (individuals to start before teams in the second round). In case of individuals or teams with equal penalties, the same starting order as in the first round will be used. Team classification : The classification is decided by adding the penalties incurred by the 3 best athletes of each team in each of the two rounds of the Team Championship. In the case of equality between the teams for first, second and/or third place, a jump-off against the clock is necessary. If two jump-offs are required, the jump-off for the third place shall precede the jump-off for the first and second places. The other teams will be placed according to their added penalties in the two rounds; those with equal penalties are placed equal.
