Dear Sir/Madam FEDERATION POLYNESIENNE DE JUDO is honoured to invite both male and female judoka, young M & W that are 16 years of age and under 19 years of age; and seniors, 19 years of age and over on the date of 1st January 2005 from your country or state to participate in the

2nd TAHITI INTERNATIONAL OPEN TOURNAMENT (T.I.O.T.) and in the TRAINING CAMP following this event. At Napoléon SPITZ Sports Complex , Fautaua –PIRAE TAHITI, French Polynesia The following information may assist you.

WEATHER CONDITIONS: October in Tahiti is the beginning of hot season, with no rainning days but warm shinning ones. The temperature can range from 23-30 degrees Celsius with 85 to 90% degrees of relative humidity.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY: There is no restriction on the number of entries into a weight division from any state or country in either the male or female , young or senior categories. The Conditions of entry are as follows: a. Preliminary ENTRY FORMS prior to 31/08/05 (see annex 1) b. Final ENTRY FORMS prior to 30/ 09/05 (see annex 2) c. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 30/09/05 d. Each participant will be required to provide PHOTO proof of identity and membership of the OJU or a recognised I.J.F. Federation. e. Hold the grade of Green belt (3rd KYU) or above. f. g. The Organising Committee reserve the right to abandon and/or amalgamate weight divisions in the interests of the competitors 9.

REFEREES: Must hold a National Referee Grade with their National Federation except for referees coming from EJU, JUA or Fédération Polynésienne de Judo which need only an immediately sub-level referee grade of their national one.

MANAGERS, COACHES AND REEEREES: Managers, coaches and referees should all complete the questionnaire/entry form to gain the ID card and free entry to the venue. AGE GROUPS AND WEIGHT DIVISIONS: YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN: Born in 1987, 1988 and 1989 Weights: YOUNG MEN: U/55 kg; U/60 kg; U/66 kg; U/73 kg; U/81 kg; U/90 kg; U/100 kg; O/100 kg. YOUNG WOMEN: U/48 kg; U/52 kg; U/57 kg; U/63 kg; U/70 kg; U/78 kg; O/78 kg Minimum grade level: Green Belt for Women and Men SENIOR AGES: Born in 1986 and before. Weights: I.J.F. weight divisions for both Senior Men and Senior Women. Minimum grade level: Green Belt for Women and Men

SEEDING AND ELIMINATION PROCEEDURES: In all divisions (Y, SNR, W &M) the following process will be done in differents cases: Under 6 competitors in one division: 1 Round Robin with entries from the same state/country being the first competitors. For 6, 7 or 8 competitors in a division, 2 Round Robin . The first and the second of each round robin will meet again directly in crossed ½ final and final with the others in draw. For more than 8 competitors, draw with double eliminations.

AWARDS: Each countries will have to provide two nationals flags and his national hymn on CD’s (short version if possible) A Gold medal will be awarded to a competitor who will be the first and who had won a minimum of one contest with a minimum of two entries in the division. A Silver medal will be awarded to a competitor who will be the second if there is a minimum of three entries in the division. One Bronze medal will be awarded in a Round Robin elimination with a minimum of four entries in the division. Two Bronze medals will be awarded in a division of six or more competitors: one to each of the winners in the losers pools.

TRAINING CAMP: A training camp will be hold on Monday 31st October, Tuesday 1st , and Wednesday 2nd November 2005. Hours and conditions of entry must to be confirmed but normally, all participants in the OPEN TOURNAMENT are elected for this camp for free.
