Far North Queensland 9 day birding tour

This is your chance to seek, observe or photograph all those Far North Queensland specialties you have seen in your field guides and have dreamt about. The successful tour for 2013 saw a total of 212 species, the 2012 tour saw a total of 214 species. Both tours sighted the key birds from all areas including the 3 Cape York endemics not found in PNG; Golden-shouldered Parrot, Frilled- necked Monarch and White-streaked Honeyeater plus 2 separate Red Goshawk at their nests. We will also spend two days in

the Wet Tropics around Cairns. There are 13 endemic birds located within the Wet Tropics rainforests. Our challenge is to find all 13 endemic species within two days. These two days can be added before or after the main tour depending on availability. This adventure is offered as a private tour at any time of the year (best time of the year is the tropical dry season: June – October) with a maximum group size of four. As this tour is subject to availability of our local guide, please book early to avoid disappointment.
