WELCOME We are pleased to welcome all family members of current NDSU students to campus for Family Weekend 2012. This weekend will allow you to meet the people and see the places that are shaping your student’s life at NDSU. Following is a sampling of events planned for Family Weekend. A detailed schedule will be mailed to you with your confirmation. Dining Services on Campus Join your student at one of our dining centers for breakfast ($7.10), lunch ($9.65) or dinner ($9.65) or venture off campus to one of FargoMoorhead’s restaurants. FRIDAY, october 12 ATTEND CLASS WITH YOUR STUDENT TODAY. 10 a.m.-9 p.m. RECREATION AND OUTING SPECIAL Memorial Union, Lower Level Enjoy bowling for $5 per hour per lane, includes ball and shoes. Billiards will be $2 per hour per person, includes cues. 11 A.M.-5 P.M. animal art from the Gallery’s collection and Dakota Moniker, photography by J. Earl Miller Memorial Union Gallery - 20% discount on any purchase from gallery store Tuesday - Saturday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m;. Thursday, 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. A noted regional photographer, J. Earl Miller has been traveling the open roads of North Dakota documenting the humor and things left behind. His photographs embrace the landscape and irony of our state in a skewed vision that makes the viewer realize that even the mundane can be interesting.

Enjoy a cup of coffee and pastry while listening to the NDSU jazz combo and exploring interactive displays that demonstrate NDSU’s role as a student-focused, land-grant, research university. Featured activities include a tornado machine, historical photographs and clothing from NDSU Archives and Emily Reynold’s Costume Collection, emergency management preparedness for the home, and health screenings from the College of Pharmacy, Nursing, and Allied Sciences. 11 A.M.-5 P.M. animal art from the Gallery’s collection and Dakota Moniker, photography by J. Noon-2:30 p.m. PRE-GAME BARBEQUE Bison Sports Arena – North end of building Enjoy smoked chicken on a Kaiser roll, potato salad, noodle salad, potato chips, dessert, coffee, lemonade and ice water. Entertainment will be provided by NDSU’s mascot, Thundar, the Gold Star Marching Band, NDSU Cheer Team and NDSU Dance Team. Cost is $8 per person (including NDSU student); children five and under are free. 3 p.m. NDSU FOOTBALL VS. indiana state Fargodome Order football tickets at www.gobison.com or call the ticket office at 1-888-231-6378 or 701-231-6378. Office hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. Ticket prices: Sideline reserved – $30; end zone reserved – $20; general admission – $18 adults, $10 youth 17 and younger. NDSU students can claim their tickets at gobison.com/students beginning Monday, Oct. 8. If students want to sit in reserved seating, they must purchase a reserved ticket.
