Where Your Contributions Go In the fall 2015 Gateway CFC region, 6,705 donors chose to give to 1,980 charities, and made pledges totaling $ 2,381,907. Below are the total dollars pledged in this campaign, listed by regiona and federation. Federations are umbrella organizations which represent 15 or more non-profit organizations, unified for efficient fundraising, management and marketing. Organizations listed in the CFC are either affiliated with a federation or are “independent,” i.e. not affiliated with a federation. Total pledges for each federation, inclusive of the pledges made to organizations affiliated with those federations, are listed below. Starting last year, CFC donors were able to pledge to charities which were locallyaccepted across the country. Donors could chose from 20,000 organizations and give “back home” if they wished. This list is called “universal giving” and is easily shearchable on the web site. The “other regions” total below shows that amount.
