Faculty Led Study Abroad Pre‐Proposal Introduction Leading a faculty‐led study abroad program can be a rewarding experience, allowing you to share your  passions in the settings which can stir a student’s imagination and curiosity.    The Office of International Programs can help turn your ideas into reality.  We help with travel  arrangements, credits for coursework, Visa and travel requirements, budget development, marketing  and promotion to help you achieve the desired amount of students, and more.  The process begins with  completing this form and returning it to the Office of International Programs Coordinator for Faculty‐led  Study Abroad trips.   

Process This is the basic process of being awarded a Faculty‐led Study Abroad Program.  1. Submit a pre‐proposal of the program and location where you would like to lead a program  (includes preliminary proposal, budget, syllabus, and timeline).  2. Meet with Office of International Programs  3. Finalize budget, syllabus, and itinerary  4. Agree on timeline and marketing strategy  5. Complete necessary  forms  6. Marketing and promotion of your program  7. Participate in Faculty Orientation Seminar  8. Take CPR and First Aid Course  9. Orientation sessions with your students

Guidelines, Restrictions, and Policies Eligibility:       Prerequisites:      Minimum/Maximum Enrollment:        Instructor eligibility: fluency in the language and familiarity with the country and culture are strongly  desired.  If you do not meet these criteria, please explain how you can mitigate this issue.  Compensation: faculty leading study abroad programs will be compensated based upon a per‐ student basis.  In addition, all travel expense will be covered.
