Fog Lights (GT/GTS/BRZ) Tools required: Small flat‐head screwdriver Small Phillips‐head screwdriver
Stock fog light bulb.
3. Pull back the weather shielding and you can see the fog light (bottom) and front indicator (top). 4. On the top and bottom of the bulb socket you can feel the 2 push tabs. Carefully squeeze the tabs to release the bulb socket.
1. Begin by turning you wheel opposite to the side you are working on. This gives you plenty of space to work with. 2. Using a Philips‐head screwdriver, release the 3 clips holding the weather shield in place.
NOTE: Be very careful! The tabs are quite weak and do break! Take your time, the tabs should release almost at the same time. If you get one side released and not the other, push the bulb back in until you hear it click and then try again. Just take your time and do it right!
5. With the bulb socket out you can now detach the bulb. You do this by pushing on the release tab where my thumb is. Push down on the tab and gently wriggle the bulb free.
6. Take the LED Fog Light and connect to the power supply. Push as far as it can go. 7. Turn the car on and turn on the fog lights to check the bulb is functioning.

8. Put the bulb in place against the fog light housing. Apply pressure until you hear two clicks. If it doesn’t seem to connect, rotate the position of the tabs top/bottom and try again. You can’t really see what you are doing so you need to feel with your hands. NOTE: never force the bulb into position. Also don’t apply pressure onto the tabs, they will snap! Push the bulb from the back.
9. With the LED bulb in the fog light housing, check again power is functioning. If everything is working, put the weather shielding back into place and put the three clips back in. 10. Repeat steps for other side. NOTE: LED fog light (pictured left), Stock bulb (pictured right). NOTE: Pictured in this guide is the bulb for the GTS & BRZ. For the GT the bulb is different but you can follow these steps for a good idea of how to install the LED fog lights on a Toyota 86 GT.

Front Indicators (GT/GTS/BRZ) Tools required: Small flat‐head screwdriver Small phillips‐head screwdriver
NOTE: Pictured here is the front indicator for the Toyota 86 GT/GTS. For the BRZ the front indicators are in the headlights, which you access by lifting the hood. BRZ owners can still follow this guide to get a general idea of how to replace the front indicators with LED bulbs.
1. Begin by turning your front wheel in the opposite direction to the side you will start on. This will give you enough room to work in. 2. Using the phillips‐head screw driver, loosen the 3 clips in the wheel well. You can then use the flat‐ head screw driver to help pry out the clips.
3. Pull back the plastic weather shielding. You will now have access the indicator socket (top), and the fog lights (bottom). 4. To remove the indicator bulb holder, just twist and it will come free.
5. Remove the stock indicator bulb by gently pulling it free from the bulb socket.
6. Take your LED bulb and push it into the socket. An easy tip to test the bulb is working, is to use your key fob to unlock the car and if the polarity is correct it should flash the indicator. If it doesn’t flash, remove and rotate the LED bulb.
7. Reverse the procedure to reinstall the bulb and weather shielding. 8. Repeat on other side.

Rear Indicators (GT/GTS/BRZ) Tools required: Small flat‐head screwdriver
1. Open your trunk to allow access to behind the rear tail light.
2. Use the flat‐head screw driver to release the clip that holds the trunk carpet in place.
3. Peel back the trunk carpet behind the tail light and you can see the bulb socket.
4. Twist the bulb holder to release and pull out.
5. Gently remove the stock bulb. 6. Test the polarity of the bulb by inserting the LED bulb and using your key fob to unlock the car and the LED bulb flash. If it doesn’t, remove the bulb and rotate the other way. Once you determine which way the bulb goes, remember it!
7. Now here is the tricky part so pay attention! Because there is not much length in the socket wire, you can’t just connect the bulb and insert into the socket. You need to put the LED bulb in the socket first! Then while holding the LED bulb in place with one hand and pinning it in place, attach the socket to the bulb. NOTE: DON’T DROP THE LED BULB!!! If you do you will probably have to remove the whole tail light and try to fish the LED bulb out and start over. The trick is to pin the LED bulb in place and attach the socket to the bulb.

NOTE: The rear indicators are one of the harder installations but only because it feels like you need 3 hands to do it. But if you take your time and hold that LED bulb in place by sort of pushing it against the edge of the socket, it doesn’t take much effort to attach the power harness to the bulb and the rest is simple.
8. Reverse the installation steps to complete the install. 9. Repeat for the other side.

Side Markers (GT/GTS/BRZ) Tools required: Small flat‐head screwdriver Small phillips‐head screw driver
1. Begin by turning the wheel in the opposite direction of the side you are going to work on. This gives you enough room to work in. 2. Using a phillips‐head screw driver, remove the 3 clips at the base of the weather shielding and 1 clip just above the side marker.
There are 2 metal tabs that hold the side marker in place. It’s easiest to begin with “A” then pull the side marker out, and while applying pressure with your hand, push against the “B” metal tab with the screw driver and the side marker should release. There are 2 small holes next to the “A” tab. If you put a screw driver in the left hole you will be able to press the metal “A” tab.
3. Pull back the weather shielding. NOTE: the side marker can be tricky to remove, but after you do it the first time it’s easy to understand how it works. Don’t use force, these parts can be fragile.
This photograph is of the underside of the side marker and you can see the “B” metal tab. When you release the “A” tab and start pulling the side marker out, this is the “B” that you will press with a screw driver and the side marker should release.

4. So use the screw driver to press against the metal “A” tab and start pulling the side marker out. While applying pressure to keep the side marker popped out, use the screw driver to press in the metal “B” tab.
5. The side marker should now be removable, pull it out gently. 6. Twist to unlock the bulb socket.
Pictured here the side marker after it has been removed. You can see the 2 metal tabs “A” & “B”. Make sure the metal tabs don’t fall off, if you don’t see them check the ground and find them. If one does fall out they simply slot back into place.
7. Remove the stock bulb and replace with the LED bulb. 8. Check power by using your key fob to unlock the car and you should see the LED bulb blink. If not remove the LED bulb and rotate 180 degrees and check again. 9. Align the side marker & bulb socket and then twist to lock. 10. Align the side marker into its original position against the fender and press into place. You should hear a distinctive “clip” sound. 11. Reattach the weather shielding. 12. Repeat for other side.

LED Flasher Relay (GT/GTS/BRZ) Tools required: Flashlight (or some other light source)
1. Pull back the driver’s side seat to give yourself some extra room. 2. Located under the steering column you will see a small gray box with a power harness connected to it. This is the flasher relay. Its function is to control the speed and the “blinking” when you indicate left/right. If you can’t find it, you can turn your indicator on and listen for the “ticking” sound it makes when the indicator function is on. 3. Remove the power harness by pressing on the harness tab and pulling out. It may be stubborn to remove so just wriggle it free until it releases. NOTE: It’s much easier just disconnecting the power than trying to remove the flasher unit itself. It takes A LOT of force to remove the flasher unit from the car frame! There are many stories of people cutting up their hands trying to remove it.
4. Connect the power harness to the new LED flasher relay. 5. Tuck the flasher relay between other wires so it isn’t tapping around on other surfaces. 6. Check the flasher unit is working by indicating left and right. It should “blink” as normal. NOTE: The purpose of the LED Flasher Relay is to prevent “hyper‐flashing”. Hyper‐flashing is a term used to describe the rapid blinking that occurs when LED indicator bulbs are used without load resistors or using the stock flasher. By using an LED flasher relay, your blinking will at the normal speed. Some people use load resistors to do the same job, but it requires splicing wires and you need a resistor on each indicator. With an LED flasher relay, installation is easy and only 1 is required.

Reverse Lights (GT/GTS/BRZ) Tools required: A small cloth (to remove the bulb if it’s too hot)
2. Twist to unlock and remove the bulb holder. 3. Remove the stock bulb.
1. On the left and right sides under the rear fog lamps you can access the reverse lights. It’s easier to get on the ground as the area doesn’t have much room to get your hand into. NOTE: Make sure the car has been off for awhile. The exhaust is very hot. If you don’t let it cool down first you WILL burn your hand!
4. Insert the LED reverse bulb. 5. Turn your car onto ACC mode and put the car in reverse. Check the LED bulb is working. If not, turn the bulb 180 degrees. 6. If everything is working, put the bulb back into the socket and twist to lock. 7. Repeat for other side.

Rear Fog Light (GT/GTS/BRZ) Tools required: A small cloth (to remove the bulb if it’s too hot)
2. Twist the bulb socket to unlock it and remove. 3. Gently remove the stock bulb.
1. Reach under the centre of the rear fog lamp. The rear fog bulb is the red triangle area.
4. Push in the LED bulb. 5. Turn on your rear fog lamp. If there is no power, remove the LED bulb and turn 180 degrees. It should then work.

License Plate (GT/GTS/BRZ) Tools required: A small cloth (to remove the bulb if it’s too hot)
1. Open the trunk. 2. To remove the trunk cloth liner you need to remove the clips. There are 3 on the top and 4 on the bottom. Start on the bottom. 3. With the cloth liner removed, behind the license plate area you will see the two bulb sockets. 4. Twist the socket to unlock and remove from the car body.
5. Remove the stock bulb from the bulb holder. 6. Insert the LED bulb. Turn on the car and lights so you can check the bulb is functioning. If it isn’t just remove the LED bulb and turn 180 degrees. 7. With the LED bulb functioning, repeat for other side. 8. Reverse the installation process to complete.

Trouble‐shooting Q. My bulb isn’t turning on? Check the polarity is correct by flipping the LED bulb. Q. The LED bulb flickers. The LED bulb may not be making proper contact with the power terminals. Remove the LED bulb and gently bend the pins outwards so it’s at a slight angle. This allows for more surface contact on the power terminals. *NOTE* Our bulbs are not damaged by incorrect polarity. So don’t stress about putting it in wrong. They simply won’t turn on if polarity is incorrect. (Polarity being the + & ‐ power terminals.)
