The split-proof plank panels are LVL constructed with a thick facing, and detailed with v-grooving.

All IDL doors are constructed from engineered LVL wood to add strength and resist warping. The cores are solid laminated wood, not plywood or composite, and the facing surface is a thick real wood lamination. The rails are solidly joined to the stiles with tongue and groove joints that are reinforced with hardwood dowels for a strong, permanent joint.

While your IDL door has been constructed and finished for a long, trouble-free life, periodic maintenance may be required to keep it looking its best, and to maintain your warranty. This maintenance may include, but is not limited to, upkeep on the exterior finish of the wood. The amount of required maintenance depends on environmental conditions, and degree of exposure to the environment. Please see our website or call/email for complete instructions on maintaining your IDL door for years of trouble-free ownership. You can limit the amount of exposure to the environment by providing the required overhang for your area and door location. To determine if your door has adequate overhang, measure up from the bottom of the door to the point where the overhang meets the wall (A) and divide that distance by two. The resulting number will be the minimum allowable overhang (B). If you have a western or southern exposure, you may still receive direct sunlight on the door and a larger overhang will be required. The diagram at right shows how to determine the proper overhang for your door.

International Door & Latch limits its obligation under this warranty to, at its option, either repair the door, ship a replacement door to the distributor or person making the warranty claim in the same condition of fitting or finishing as the door which International Door & Latch originally sold, or refund the purchase price. Except as otherwise expressly provided herein, International Door & Latch shall not be liable for more than the cost of the original product, and shall not be responsible for the cost of labor, installation or refinishing of the replacement or original door or for any other cost relating to the replacement of the door, all of which shall be the sole responsibility of the person making the warranty claim. International Door and Latch warrants our insulated glass for a period of 5 years from the date of manufacture of the insulated glass panel, against permanent failure of the hermetic seal directly attributed to defective manufacturing, which failure results in permanent obstruction of vision through the panel.
