Introducing Agriworld Australia

How will the event work? An initiative of Reed Exhibitions and supported by the Royal Agricultural Society of New South Wales, Agriworld Australia 2015 will bring the agrifood industry together from farm to fork and provide the networking, business opportunities, information sharing and education required to ensure this growth opportunity isn’t missed. The event will attract Australian and international professionals from food and fibre producers to food manufacturers, distributors, retailers, investors, analysts and policymakers in an exhibition and conference built on four key pillars:

Policy and business drivers of investment and growth in Australian agribusiness

Innovations and technologies driving productivity improvements in agriculture

Opportunities in Asia In light of growing export market opportunities in China, Indonesia and throughout Asia, the conference and exhibition will also take a strong focus on fostering opportunities for Australian agriculturalists and food enterprises to do business in our Asia-Pacific neighbourhood. In our first step towards this we already have The Hon Joel Fitzgibbon MP, Shadow Minister for Agriculture sign up as a Keynote speaker.

The only business-to-business event which brings together the complete agrifood supply chain and will deliver technology, solutions and create business connections for Australia’s agribusiness future.

Latest developments in food processing and valueadding for food industries

Supply chain, transport and export management advances for food and fibre businesses

Introducing Agriworld Australia

Why Agriworld? National Food Plan (2013), scoped the opportunity for Australia to increase the value of its agriculture and food related exports by 45% over the next 10 years. The average price of world agrifood products in 2050 is projected to be 11.5 per cent higher than in 2007 with the fish meal and oil, fish, meat, oilseed oils, and cereals commodity groups experience the largest price rise. The Australian agrifood industry is constantly facing challenges in production, processing and supply to meet the growing need from international markets, particularly from an increasingly affluent middle class in Asia. The production demand on the country’s primary industries is forecast to grow significantly over the next few years. In order to capitalise on this growth opportunity there is a need to understand how emerging technologies can improve farm production, processing and all elements within the supply chain. AGRIWORLD AUSTRALIA will bring the industry together and provide both the networking and education required to ensure this growth opportunity isn’t missed.

Support from the Royal Agricultural Society of New South Wales (RAS) Agriworld Australia is supported by leading industry body, the Royal Agricultural Society of New South Wales (RAS). Michael Kenny, RAS Chief Executive, commented “RAS applauds Reed Exhibitions for this exciting initiative and we are delighted to be supporting the inaugural Agriworld Australia as both strategic partner and host. The objectives put in place by Reed are closely aligned to RAS’s vision and purpose to encourage the sustainable development of agriculture by staging events that support agricultural excellence. The team at RAS looks forward to supporting Reed Exhibitions in developing Agriworld Australia into the country’s premium agribusiness conference and exhibition.”

The inaugural AGRIWORLD AUSTRALIA will be a two day conference and exhibition taking place on the 16 & 17 July 2015 at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park. The first of its kind, Agriworld Australia will not only bring together the entire agribusiness value chain from ‘Farm to Fork’, supporting the ramping up of production whilst maintaining quality for the international market. This event will also help forge unique business alliances between Australian producers and international buyers by creating an environment where real business can take place. Ensuring Agriworld Australia is much more than a traditional agriculture events.
