The Regular Meeting of the Bryan City School District Board of Education was held on April 17, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in the Bryan Middle School Media Center. ATTENDANCE The Board Members present at roll call were Scott Acus , Emily Ebaugh, Tom Lingvai, Glen Newcomer, and Allen Roan. Administrators present were: Jim Gunner, Rob Rosswurm, Steve Alspaugh, Norm Glismann, Beth Hollabaugh, Mark Miller, and Rich Tavierne. Other school district employees in attendance included Stephanie Grube. Guests in attendance included Nancy Jackson of The Bryan Times, Erik Herman and Christina Underwood of Bryan Municipal Utilities. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Exhibit A The President declared the minutes of the March 13, 2006 regular meeting approved as written. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION None COMM U NIC ATIO NS Four County Career Center School Board Report – Allen Roan gave a brief report. There will be an open house at the home being built by the Four County students on May 21, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. See Exhibit B. Professional Meeting Reports – Vicki Eidenier – Linking Sensory Processing to Student Learning Part II as per Exhibit C. Legislative Liaison – Glen Newcomer gave a report on HB530, the Budget Correction bill. Bryan Operating Levy Committee – Troy Simon gave a PowerPoint presentation relating to the 1% income tax levy for Bryan City Schools on May 2, 2006. TREASURER’S REPORT Exhibit D The Treasurer presented the financial report for the month of March 2006, with the Farmers & Merchants State Bank balance of $2,896,461.08; outstanding checks and adjustments of $191,743.51 Star Ohio $2,800,997.22; Fifth Third $520,851.10; Petty Cash: Rob Rosswurm $500.00, Tim Meister $4,000.00, Rich Tavierne $3,000.00, Beth Hollabaugh $1,400.00, and MS/HS Offices $100.00. Change Funds: $975.00. Total Treasurer’s balance $6,036,540.89. FINA NC IA L RE COMM E NDA TIO NS 37-06 Tom Lingvai moved and Allen Roan seconded a motion to approve the following recommendations: Amended appropriation resolution as per Exhibit E. Then and Now Certificates Office Concepts Spangler Candy & Tobacco Bryan Bowling Center
