task E (3 · 10 marks) MC-test More than only one solution possible! Mehr als eine Antwort möglich! A company plans to get a return on equity of 8%. The revenue is planned to be 200.000 EUR. The subscribed capital is 40.000 EUR and earnings reserves is 35.000 EUR. The income tax rate is 40%. There is interest to be considered 16.000 EUR. Determine the total of expenses excluding interest! (1) 178.000 EUR (2) 180.800 EUR (3) 181.200 EUR (4) 194.000 EUR (5) 196.800 EUR

(1) –[8% · 75.000 EUR – 200.000 EUR + 16.000 EUR] = 178.000 EUR A group contains one parent and two subsidaries A and B. The interest of the companies is 300.000 EUR (A) and 500.000 EUR (B). The mother company recognizes a subscribed capital of 700.000 EUR. Its earnings reserves are 1.000.000 EUR. In the consolidated B/S the group recognizes subscribed capital 800.000 EUR and earnings reserves 1.475.000 EUR. What is the interest rate the parent holds its subsidiaries by? (first rate for A, second one for B) Ein Konzern besteht aus einem Mutter- und zwei Tochterunternehmen A und B. Die Beteiligung an den Unternehmen beträgt 300.000 EUR (A) und 500.000 EUR (B).

(Die erste Relation für A, die zweite für B) (1) 50% and 50% (2) 30% and 45% (3) 40% and 80% (4) 60% and 40% (5) 80% and 40%

(3) it becomes much easier to add the subscribed capital and reserves: Mother 1.700.000 EUR, A: 300.000 EUR, and B: 500.000 EUR. Now the group has to recognize 2.275.000 EUR. Solution 3: 1.700.000 + (1 – 40%)·300.000 EUR/40% + (1-80%)·500.000/80% = 2.275.000 EUR A company owns an asset 30.000 EUR (carrying amount). The actual value of the asset is 40.000 EUR. What would be the right posting entry? Ein Unternehmen hält einen Vermögenswert mit 30.000 EUR an (Buchwert). Der tatsächliche Wert des Vermögenswerts beträgt 40.000 EUR. Was wäre die richtige Buchung? (1) The company makes the following entry: DR Asset account - CR P&L account 10.000 EUR. Das Unternehmen bucht: Vermögenskonto an GuV-Konto 10.000 EUR. (2) The company makes the following entry: DR Asset account - CR Revaluation gains 10.000 EUR. Das Unternehmen bucht: Vermögenskonto an Neubewertungsrücklage 10.000 EUR. (3) The company makes the following entry: DR Asset account 10.000 EUR – CR Revaluation gains 6.000 EUR and CR Deferred tax liabilities. Das Unternehmen bucht: Vermögenskonto10.000 EUR an Neubewertungsrücklage 6.000 EUR und an Rückstellungen für Steuerlatenzen 4.000 EUR. (4) The company makes the following entry: DR Asset account 10.000 EUR – CR Revaluation gains 6.000 EUR and CR Deferred tax assets. Das Unternehmen bucht: Vermögenskonto10.000 EUR an Neubewertungsrücklage 6.000 EUR und an aktivische Steuerlatenzen 4.000 EUR. (5) The company doesn’t make any entries. Das Unternehmen bucht gar nichts.
