BRISBANE CITY HALL Since opening in 1930, Brisbane City Hall has been a symbol of civic pride and over the years it has become one of Brisbane’s greatest icons and the home of elegance and grandeur. On Saturday 6 April 2013 Brisbane City Hall reopened following a 3 year, $215m restoration program with EPICURE appointed by the Brisbane City Council to manage the event spaces within Brisbane City Hall and King George Square and assume the role of exclusive caterer and licensee. EPICURE invites you to bring your next event to Brisbane City Hall joining the magical history of this iconic Brisbane venue.

MAIN AUDITORIUM The Main Auditorium is an ideal venue space for large-scale gala events, ceremonies, concerts and performances. Its unique circular design is decorated with fluted pilasters around the perimeter, based on the Pantheon of Rome. The high ceiling forms the background to the room’s 23-metre high central lantern equipped with an incredible dome ceiling backlit with 8,500 LED lights. The timber floor, large stage, semicircular balcony and 120 year old grand organ is beautifully framed by an ornate frieze sculpted by world renowned Australian artist, Daphine Mayo. Key features include: Direct access to loading bay, permanent stage with choir riser, stage hoist, dress circle balcony (with wheelchair access), steinway grand piano, extensive back of house facilities including individual and group dressing rooms with full bathroom facilities.

HAMILTON LOUNGE For a unique dining experience, the Hamilton Lounge is a multi-function space bringing the ultimate in style, sophistication and grandeur to any special event. Beautifully presented, the deluxe lounge space boasts its own private bar and show kitchen which offers an intimate view of our EPICURE chefs at work. An ideal Sponsors Lounge, VIP space or supper lounge for after shows or gala events, the Lounge is a suitable retreat for cocktail events, degustation dinners, live cooking stations and intimate celebrations. TOOWONG ROOM With arch windows capturing the flow of ample natural light, the spacious Toowong Room is located on ground level, close to the Main Auditorium. Ideally suitable for pre and post-event gatherings for Main Auditorium events, the function room may be used for seated banquets, presentations, seminars, training sessions and workshops. Featuring heritage windows and natural light. BRISBANE ROOM The Brisbane Room, with its high ceiling, polished timber floors and grand chandeliers will take your breath away. It was officially opened as a public space in April 1980 when a time capsule was inserted into one of the decorated pillars. The time capsule will be re-opened on 11 April 2030. With a dedicated servery kitchen and private lounge the room is ideally suited for seated formal events, including wedding receptions and school formals, as well as cocktail parties and business events. The Brisbane adjoins the Moggill Courtyard creating an indoor/outdoor event space like no other in the Brisbane. BALMORAL SUITE The Balmoral Suite includes the Balmoral, Oak Table, Windsor and Belmont Rooms that can be hired individually or collectively. The Lord Mayors Civic function rooms are special suites available for private events on weekends. The Balmoral Room is a popular venue for cocktail parties, wedding receptions and formal dinners, business meetings, seminars, training sessions and presentations, with windows that overlook the northern light well. With floor to ceiling windows overlooking King George Square, the Windsor Room exudes elegance and ideally suits wedding ceremonies, seated events, cocktail parties, and business meetings. ITHACA AUDITORIUM The Ithaca Auditorium is a large, pillarless room that is an ideal setting for medium-sized events such as concerts, recitals, theatrical performances, presentations, conferences, gala dinners and ceremonies. Key features of the auditorium include a highcoffered ceiling, cool paint colour palette with polished wooden floors and stage. The auditorium adjoins the Ithaca Foyer and has extensive back of house spaces and facilities, including private, group dressing rooms and a dedicated servery kitchen and bar. KING GEORGE SQUARE King George Square is the ultimate location for outdoor events in the heart of Brisbane. Managed by EPICURE, full catering and bar facilities are available for guests inside City Hall. King George Square offers a range of spaces suitable for corporate events, product launches, Civic ceremonies, festivals, concerts and exhibitions either directly on the square or on the covered deck overlooking City Hall. With over 3000sqm of useable space, King George Square can be transformed into a giant dinner party, barbeque or cocktail reception for corporate events. To ensure the event is weatherproof, elegant marquees and stall structures can be provided along with furniture and other event hire needs.

A UNIQUE PHILOSOPHY FOR THE GOOD LIFE Favouring local suppliers, we’re always aiming to reduce our carbon footprint by supporting home grown, environmentally sustainable produce. It’s a food philosophy that we feel very strongly about. It goes to the heart of the epicurean philosophy – creating happiness through good food, good wine, good friends – in a way that does no harm. This approach means we are constantly researching suppliers who produce food of exceptional quality using humane methods. We use free–range poultry and free– range small goods wherever possible, and we never use cage–reared eggs. All seafood is Australian, farmed or wild.
Our philosophy also extends to the sourcing of specialty local dry goods such as nuts, grains, and vinegars, as well as local mineral water, 100% Australian orange juice and a fair trade coffee blend. This approach has helped us to create exciting seasonal menus that revolve around fresh local produce when it’s at its best. So whatever time of year your wedding is being held, you’ll be guaranteed an outstanding meal. Our chefs combine this ethical approach with their great passion and extensive experience. They draw inspiration from food trends from around the world and bring this to all of their dishes.
