HOEHN, D. M.

Wroten and Jewell share an apartment at 1104 SE 1st Street. Yesterday, while Wroten was hospitalized and Jewell was intoxicated, Good Samaritan (and ex-boyfriend of Jewell) Alexander assisted Jewell home-at around 2 pm-and, `helped her into the apartment`. Jewell, ever the loyal girlfriend, went to visit Wroten at the hospital two hours later ( at around 4 pm) and, after an argument there, decided to stay the night in the hospital room with Wroten. When Wroten and Jewell returned home, they inexplicably found some of Alexander`s belongings and bike still in their unlocked apartment. Turns out, they have lost their apartment key (sometime ago) and do not have a way (or an apparent need), to lock their apartment when they leave. Wroten insisted a burglary MUST have occurred after his faithful gal came to the hospital and demanded a report to that effect. I pointed out to (Columbo) Wroten that it took Jewell two hours to decide to come to the hospital after being escorted home by her ex-boyfriend, and that he was relying entirely on her version of events. He was appalled at the notion that Jewell might have not been as `open` about events with him (as she apparently had been with Alexander) but, once the notion was mentioned,he could not dispel the definite possibility that Jewell (perhaps) is not being totally honest with him. I advised them to bag up Alexander`s overnight stay belongings and set them, and the bike, out on the balcony for Alexander to collect on his next visit. LW 1510442 Burglary Of A Dwelling
