DIVINE HISTORY Because of the present situation in the world, there needs to be an appropriate direction for the Lord's move in His recovery today. We should not think that the present changes in the world situation are meaningless. The Lord is not only the Creator of the universe but also the Ruler of the entire world. Whatever happens in the world situation must be something of the Lord. When we see the many changes in today’s world situation, we have to wake up. Our eyes need to be opened. We should exercise our spirit to say, “Lord, what do You mean in all of these changes, and what concerns us in all of these changes?” W.L., The World Situation and the Direction of the Lord's Move, Memorial Day Conf., May 1991, ch. 1, sec. 1

THE SPIRITUAL MAGNITUDE This is a major opening of a door by the Lord
 (We cannot open such a door)

We see such a mass hunger once a generation
 (Taiwan, early 1950s; US, late 1960s-early 1970s; Russia, early 1990s; Europe, now)

It is comparable to the opening of Russia in 1991
 (now over 200 churches in nations of former Soviet Union)

Opportunity for revival of recovery in Germany
 (solid church life mid 1970s-mid 1980s; number of saints greater than now)

SYRIA “The disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.” Acts 11:26 The Lord’s move to Europe began when Paul and Silas went out from Antioch – Acts 15:40 In 2015 Syrians are the largest national group going to Europe There are 4 million Syrian refugees in other Mideast nations besides those who have already gone to Europe

TWO SIDES OF THIS MOVE

Refugees Europeans Their lives and nations are being shaken

The remaining charts focus on refugees, but our prayer must also include the native Europeans

OUR INITIAL ACTIONS early September: fellowship begins late September: eight brothers’ initial investigation south & north
 with support from other saints October: six brothers visit camps in Germany
 with support from local saints November: fourteen saints visit camps in Germany
 first trip with Arabic and Farsi literature December: additional visits to Germany and Greece

OUR OBSERVATIONS (1) “Behold, I tell you, Lift up your eyes and look on the fields, for they are already white for harvest.” – John 4:35b
 We should not delay our response

“He said to them, The harvest is great, but the workers few; therefore, beseech the Lord of the harvest that He would thrust out workers into His harvest.” – Luke 10:2

OUR OBSERVATIONS (2) Refugees suffered very much, very open to talk; they welcome friendly visitors; tragedies cause them to question the meaning of human life Refugees go through Greece; do not remain; willing to receive literature Refugees granted asylum in Germany go to housing projects;
 access is easy and revisits to people are possible;
 November visit: 8 received the Lord, 100 want further contact The Lord moved these people from an almost impenetrable Mid East environment to an atmosphere of relative freedom to hear the gospel

A certain man…fell among robbers, who having both stripped him and beaten him, went away, leaving him half dead. A certain Samaritan, who was journeying, came upon him; and when he saw him, he was moved with compassion; and he came to him and bound up his wounds and poured oil and wine on them. And placing him on his own beast, he brought him to an inn and took care of him.

Luke 10:30, 33-34
