The secret of success is variety Ensiling agent for grass silages

The secret of success is variety One of the characteristics of silage making is that the appropriate ensiling agent can be chosen shortly before harvesting. To ensure optimum action, factors like the range of plant species, the dry matter content and the fermentable carbohydrates have to be taken into account.

Intelligent bacterial combinations With the intelligent bacterial combinations comprising homo- and heterofermentative lactic acid bacteria in BONSILAGE products SCHAUMANN offers exactly the right ensiling agent for every application and any ensiling conditions. This results in premium silages that perform various functions such as protein protection, reduced DM losses, aerobic stability, higher raw fibre digestibility, higher energy concentration and specific Clostridia inhibition.

Aerobic stability

The proven basic product BONSILAGE – The all-rounder with the specially selected homofermentative lactic acid bacteria rapidly and reliably lowers the pH value by specific lactic acid formation. This results in very palatable, highly digestible silages for high production from the basic ration. Bonsilage is suitable for all grass and clover-grass silages over a wide DM range and for lucerne in the lower DM range.

BONSILAGE

For extra stability and energy BONSILAGE PLUS – This high-performing all-rounder with five homoand heterofermentative lactic acid bacteria strains ensures an optimum fermentation acid pattern in the upper DM range. BONSILAGE PLUS increases the energy density by improving digestibility. Controlled acetic acid formation inhibits yeasts and mould and thus perceptibly reduces heating up problems.

Successful ensiling in the lower DM range BONSILAGE FORTE – The special product for wet silages converts hard to ferment, damp raw material into hygienically perfect silages with an excellent flavour. BONSILAGE FORTE uses the whole carbohydrate spectrum, so the pH value is permanently and reliably lowered and fermentation failures are avoided. The selected, powerful lactic acid bacteria inhibit Clostridia growth. In addition, the protein breakdown into NH3-N and biogenic amines that typically occurs with wet silage is perceptibly reduced.

N EW The specialist for sugar-rich grasses BONSILAGE EXTRA – Three homo- and heterofermentative lactic acid bacteria strains specially selected for sugar-rich grasses convert the sugar into value-retaining fermentation acids. This results in palatable silages with higher acetic acid and propandiol contents and perceptibly lower residual sugar quantities. The high risk of heating up with sugar-rich grasses is perceptibly reduced.
