ESTUARY FISHING KAYAK IMPORTANT INFORMATION Washing & Maintenance Please wash down the Haswing Winix Estuary Kayak with freshwater after every use. After drying we recommend spraying metal parts with a spray lubricant (e.g. WD-40™). Periodically check for loose screws/bolts or signs of fraying on cables. Periodic lubrication of cables with petroleum jelly (e.g. Vaseline®) is recommended. Storage & Transportation When transporting or storing the Haswing Winix Estuary Kayak, be sure to remove or detach the following: rudder, fishing rod holders, trolling motor, battery. Take care during transportation and handling to ensure that no damage is caused to kayak hull. Stand-up support rail must be stored down and secured during transport. Do not handle or lift the kayak via the stabilisers this may cause damage. Do not operate the kayak under power of motor whilst stabilisers are open; they are for stability purposes only (once the kayak is stationary). Never store the kayak upright, nor on its side; always lay flat. Please ensure that the kayak is stored out of direct sunlight when not in use.

First, insert the drive pin into the hole on the motor axle horizontally. Then mount the propeller onto the axle (align the slot at base of propeller with drive pin). Lastly, place the anode, washer and nut onto the axle (Fig.19). Holding a propeller blade, tighten the nut with the wrench supplied (Fig.20).

To position motor in place slide the lock pin out (Fig.21,1) then push the correcting shaft (Fig.21,2) down making the propeller vertical. Place motor onto cradle (Fig.22) lock into position. Prior to operating the motor pull the correcting shaft up (Fig.23) and insert lock pin.

Step 3. CONNECTING POWER SUPPLY Note: Battery not included. Manufacturer recommends installing 12V 105AH deep cycle battery. Be sure to remove battery prior to transporting or storing the kayak.

Unscrew the cover of the battery connection socket anti-clockwise (Fig.24). Align the notch on the motor lead with tab on the on the socket (fig.25, Fig.26). Screw the socket cover clockwise (Fig.27).

The Haswing Winix Estuary Kayak is equipped with a 40lbs 12V electric trolling motor and features FORWARD and REVERSE variable speed functions. Turn clockwise for FORWARD thrust, turn anti-clockwise for REVERSE thrust. The higher the number the greater the speed/thrust. Also located on the speed control panel is an LED-lit battery level indicator.
