Supports public-public partnerships of ministries and agencies that are in charge of national or regional research programmes. EC provides a financial incentive for the involved organisations. It includes financial incentives provided by the EC (FP6, FP7, H2020) The ERA-NET Cofund • Establishment of networking structures • Funding cooperation for trans-national projects and calls • Pooling of national/regional and EU-funding

Safety of EVs and charging infrastructure, integration in the city (e.g. e-bike paths)
E-mobility adjusted and shared infrastructure (incl. inductive charging) and housing
ICT applications, e.g. for optimisation of forecast issues and battery management

Innovative e-mobility solutions, considering last mile delivery

Interconnected services for cross-modal e-mobility chains (e.g. smart phone applications)
Mobility and housing: technical aspects like home charging, organisational changes like novel e-car sharing systems and neighbourhood centred solutions
Shared use of physical & virtual e-(mobility) infrastructures: e.g. (trolley) bus + tram
Cross links with automated driving

Application in public transport, electric busses, personal rapid transport
Optimisation of remote/inductive charging system
Testing EVs and charging in extreme weather conditions, e.g. in polar regions

Regulations and standards, interoperability, compatibility and charging payment solutions
Fiscal measures, local planning measures, integration into the transport system, consumer information (e.g. charging infrastructure, access to charging)

Scope of the Call - Characteristics

The selected projects should:
Anticipate information/research trends and policy demand needs in 2020
Focus on passenger transport, urban freight and/or logistics
Consider issues of interoperability and compatibility, cross border solutions
Provide knowledge on, social aspects, regulation, conditions for market uptake
Demonstrate and validate e-mobility solutions that have reached TRL 5-6 or higher (lower TRL supporting research activities also part of the call scope)
Include the relevant stakeholders for the testing and demonstration of electric mobility in cities and urban areas

Trans-national, multiple countries
Adequate to the project goals „Test and demonstrate existing knowledge and technology in transport systems and urban areas”
Industries, service providers, public transport operators, delivery/logistics services, cities/municipalities/authorities, universities, SMEs, ICT companies, vehicle (component) suppliers, charging infrastructure suppliers, grid operators
