Applicability The RML is an integral part in all supply agreements, even if it is not enclosed with every purchase order. The purchasing organization ensures relevant information to suppliers. By signing a purchase agreement with Husqvarna, the signatory is obliged to follow the requirements and restrictions accordingly.

Policy for Restricted Material List (“RML”) The RML specifies the requirements of chemical substances in components built into the products (including semi-finished products, parts, materials and packaging, in unreacted form) and is valid for all supplies of materials, preparations, additives, color-batches and others, which are used by Husqvarna Group. Chemical substances on the Restricted Material List can be present in the maximum noted threshold level in articles or homogenous material. The most restrictive of local law and the RML shall take precedence. Products containing a chemical substance listed on the RML as banned or above stated threshold shall not be supplied to and can be rejected by Husqvarna Group. Chemical substances occurring solely in the form of impurities in a specific product can be tolerated by Husqvarna, provided that (i) the content is very low and (ii) Husqvarna Group has approved it. Threshold levels must be withheld independently of legal requirements.

In case an exemption is listed, this is only valid for the specified application.

Material Declaration All suppliers of articles (products, spare parts, components and materials) to companies in Husqvarna Group shall: 1. On request from purchasing department report chemical substances on the Husqvarna RML included in the articles delivered to Husqvarna Group. 2. Provide to Husqvarna Group contact information for the person within the supplier who is responsible for relevant chemical legislation (REACH/WEEE/ RoHS). 3. Observe changes in Husqvarna’s RML, the Candidate List in the REACH regulation and RoHS regulation and inform Husqvarna Group of any changes concerning new substances which influence the supplier’s duty. 4. Immediately inform of any presence of chemical substances in products, semi-finished products, parts, materials and packaging according to the Candidate list (REACH directive) and the RoHS directive delivered to Husqvarna.

REACH Requirements Husqvarna is required to comply with the European Chemical legislation REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and restrictions of Chemicals). REACH affects all those who professionally manufacture, import, sell, buy, or distribute products on the EU market.

REACH shall ensure a high level of safety for human health and environment, focusing on chemical substances in general and hazardous chemical substances in particular. Husqvarna requires that all suppliers are prepared for REACH and follow updated information on the website of the European Chemical Agency (ECHA), http://ECHA.europa.eu

Registration Manufactures and importers of chemicals and articles have a duty to register, for each legal entity, substances (either separate or in preparations) in quantities over 1 tonne per year (per manufacturer/importer), unless the substances are exempt from registration.

Duty to inform on substances for authorization, Article 33 It is the responsibility of the supplier to continuously be updated on the candidate list of authorization, annex XIV of authorization substances and annex XVII of restricted substances. To find the latest Candidate list, read this on: http://ECHA.europa.eu/chem_data/candidate_list_table_en.asp Suppliers that professionally manufacture, import, sell and distribute articles in the EU are legally obliged to inform their customers about the presence of candidate substances in articles they sell.

RoHS Requirements RoHS affects business that sells applicable electrical or electronic products, sub-assemblies or components directly to RoHS countries, or sells to resellers, distributors or integrators that in turn sell

products to these countries, is impacted if they utilize any of the restricted materials. Husqvarna requires that all its suppliers follow the requirement.

Biocides Requirements Any use of biocidal products as defined in the Biocidal Product Regulation (528/2012/EU) Article 3 are restricted and must be reported to Husqvarna. The use of biocides can only be allowed after discussion with Husqvarna Group. A biocide is a chemical or biological substance with the intention of destroying, deterring, rendering harmless, preventing the action of, or otherwise exerting a controlling effect on, any harmful organism. The uses of biocides are regulated in Biocidal Product Regulation (528/2012/EU) among others and require any product treated or incorporated with a biocide to be labelled. The regulation provides for consumers the possibility to request from the supplier of treated article information on the biocidal treatment of the treated article. All biocides must be approved before usage. There are also biocides that are banned for use in specific materials. Examples of biocides are triclosan and silver.

Additional Requirements for textile, clothes, leather goods and shoes For textiles, clothes, leather goods, shoes and similar articles there are additional requirements regarding hazardous substances. Husqvarna Group requires that the whole article shall be certified with Oeko-Tex® Standard 100; the product class is specified in the technical specification. This includes, for example, any zippers, thread, buttons and prints in the article. For more specific information please refer to the technical specification provided by Husqvarna Group.
