Foreword This document describes the environmental, occupational health and safety management system at SH Group. The Health and Safety Management System (hereinafter referred to as HSE) at SH Group is not certified according to OHSAS 18001, but our health and safety work builds on the same principles. To help us monitor were we are in compliance with OHSAS 18001, we have performed a gap-analysis. Our environmental management, are similar not certified, but builds on the principle from EN ISO 14001. To ensure, that we keep focus on our environmental performances, we have committed ourselves by joining the sustainability network “MiljøForum Fyn”. The network consists of companies from the private sector together with public environmental authorities in the Danish region, Funen. Members of the network undertake to draw up an environmental report within two years from joining the network, and every second year thereafter. First report was approved May 2013

Health & safety At SH Group, we commit ourselves to obtain a safe and healthy working environment. Therefore we:      

Make sure, that our employees are trained and aware of how to behave according to health and safety Have focus on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Have updated emergency plans and emergency helpers Enforce our alcohol and smoking policies Have focus on safe handling of chemicals Manage any health and safety risks that may be connected to our activities

We perform physical and psychological workplace evaluations regularly; we keep internal records of accidents and sick-leave, non-conformities and near-miss incidents. Statistics can be provided on request. Accidents are reported to the National Board of Industrial Injuries and the Danish working environment authority. The results of the above mentioned are, together with results from internal audits and safety walks, used to continuously improve the OH & S performance at SH Group.

Environment We want to mark ourselves as a Company with focus on the environment. Our goal is, not only to comply with Danish legislation, but also to reduce our main environmental impacts. Therefore, we   

Perform key figures and data for the most significant environmental impacts Have objectives for continued improvements Perform monthly registration of used resource consumption

Health and Safety Organisation According to Danish working legislation, all companies with 10 or more employees are obliged to have an H & S Organisation (arbejdsmiljøorganisation) The organisation consists of a chairman and 2 representatives from each department/ workshop – one workshop leader and one craftsman. The craftsmen are elected by their colleagues for a period of two years. The workshop leaders are pointed out by the chairman. The representatives are responsible of maintaining a healthy and safe workplace on daily basis, supported by QHSE management. At least twice a year the whole organisation meets and discusses occupational health and safety issues, and agrees on future H & S policy and objectives.

HSE policy Scope of Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety management system at SH Group, covers the entire organisation. Excepted is SH Automation who has their own OH & S organisation and SEPRO sale, because they are referring to Norwegian OH & S legislation. They will both, be under scope of SH Groups QMS ultimo 2014. Management is responsible for ensuring a healthy and safe working environment. All employees are obliged to follow the HSE policy and guidelines for a safe working environment, set by the management. At SH Group we consider compliance with relevant laws, regulations and internal rules as a minimum requirement. We believe in open communication about how we perform our health and safety, and we believe in continual improvement in environmental, OH & S performance and management.

Therefor we:      

Work preventively with accidents and incidents Offer employees training in Health and Safety Communicate rights and obligations about environment, health and safety, to all employees Perform routinely surveys and risk assessments of our H & S Monitor our use of chemicals; substitute when possible and otherwise instruct our employees in prober use and handling Have high focus on waste separation

Identified H & S hazards must be handled according to the following principles, in the order given:     

Eliminating Replacement or training Technical control measures Warning signs Personal Protection Equipment

Safety and emergency preparedness At SH Group we have an emergency plan, which gives information to all employees about evacuation, crisis handling & communication, first aid helpers, names and telephone numbers of key personnel etc. For safety reasons guests at SH Group must check in- and out at the reception, wear safety guest helmet and guest card and they are not allowed to walk around alone at SH Groups premises. External personnel, that are familiar with our premises and logistic, can be cleared, by the QA-HSE manager, to walk unaccompanied. Signs all over the facility, keeps you informed about mandatory PPE.
