1.  General  Information  

  The  Entries  Guide  for  the  Pan  American  Sports  Festival  is  designed  to  assist  NOCs  to   complete  the  entries  of  their  athletes,  coaches,  delegates  and  technical  officials.  Along   with  this  guide  NOCs  will  also  receive  separate  formats  for  each  sport,  which  detail  all   information  required  to  complete  their  entries.     a)   • • •

The   deadline   for   the   final   lists   of   participating   athletes   for   each   sport   is   one   month   prior   to   the   respective   competition.   However,   where   urgent   medical   problems   arise,   or   in   other   exceptional   circumstances   that   are   assessed   on   a   case-­‐by-­‐case   basis,   PASO   may   permit   the   permanent   replacement   of   one   athlete   by   another   only   in   the   same   sport,   discipline   and   event.   This   can   only   occur   after   consultation   with   PASO,   the   relevant  Pan  American  Confederation  and  the  Technical  Direction  of  the  Festival.  

2.  Guidelines  for  completing  the  Entries  by  Name  formats   a) General  Instructions     An   electronic   entry   form   per   sport   must   be   completed   by   each   NOC.   All   entered   athletes   must   be   eligible   and   must   have   qualified   to   compete   according   to   the   qualification   system   of   the   respective   Pan   American   Confederation,   respecting   the   quotas  per   discipline/event   authorized   by   PASO.   Please   send   each   format   to   Carlos   Cisneros,   Technical   Director   of   the   Festival,   to   the   following   email   [email protected]  as  well  as  to  [email protected].   b)  Generic  Entry  Fields   The  data  fields  that  NOCs  can  expect  to  see  for  every  sport  include  the  following:   • • • • • • • • • •

  c)  Photo  requirements  for  accreditation     All   NOCs   are   requested   to   submit   photos   for   all   the   applicants   for   accreditation   purposes.  Digital  images  must  follow  these  guidelines:   • • • • • •

Passport  style  (3cm  x  4cm,  between  50kbs  and  1024kb)     Face  forward       Nothing  covering  the  eyes     No  hat  or  anything  covering  the  head     White  background   In  color,  not  black  and  white.

  2.  Athletics   o The  first  16  of  the  Pan  American  ranking  until  the  4  of  July  2014  will  be   invited  in  the  track  events.   o On  the  field  events,  1,500m,  3,000m  steeplechase  and  5,000m  the  first   12  of  the  Pan  American  ranking  until  July  4,  2014  will  be  invited.   o Events:   Men’s   § Running  Events:  100m,  200m,  400m,  800m,  1,500m,  5,000m   § Hurdles  Events:  110m,  400m   § Steeplechase:  3,000m   § Jumps:  High,  Pole  Vault,  long  and  triple   § Throws:  Discus,  Javelin,  Shot  Put  and  Hammer     Women’s   § Running  Events:  100m,  200m,  400m,  800m,  1,500m,  5,000m   § Hurdles  Events:  100m,  400m   § Steeplechase:  3,000m   § Jumps:  High,  Pole  Vault,  long  and  triple   § Throws:  Discus,  Javelin,  Shot  Put  and  Hammer   3.Badminton   o Each  NOC  may  enter  a  maximum  of  four  athletes  in  the  women  ́s  branch   and  four  athletes  in  the  male  branch,  each  NOC  will  receive  its  quota   according  to  the  ranking  of  the  country  coming  from  the  sum  of  WR   points  for  the  player  or  pairs  in  the  five  events,  published  on  June  12,   2014.   o Events   § Singles:  Men’s  and  Women’s   § Doubles:  Men’s,  Women’s  and  Mixed   o Each  NOC  may  enter:  3  players  for  men  ́s  singles,  3  players  for  women  ́s   singles;  2  pairs  for  men  ́s  doubles,  2  pairs  en  women  ́s  doubles,  2  pairs   for  mixed  doubles.   o Each  NOC  will  have  the  right  to  a  minimum  of  one  player  (male-­‐female)   to  participate  in  the  Badminton  competition  during  the  Festival.   4.Bowling   o This  competition  gives  slots  for  the  Toronto  2015  Pan  American  Games.   o Events:   Men   and   Women’s   Singles,   Men   and   Women’s   Doubles,   Mixed   Doubles  and  Masters  Final   o Each  NOC  may  enter  up  to  a  maximum  of  two  (2)  men,  (2)  women,  one   (1),  coach  and  (1)  delegate.

Age  Requirements:  15  years  old  at  the  time  of  the  event.   Each  NOC  may  enter  up  to  four  (4)  speed  skaters  (2)  Men  and  (2)  women.   Each  NOC  may  enter  up  to  five  (5)  artistic  skaters  (2)  Men  and  (3)  women.   A  maximum  of  two  (2)  athletes  per  event  and  per  country  may  be  entered.   Events:     § Artistic:  Men  and  Women’s:  Figure  Skating,  Free  Skating  and   Women’s  Solo  Dance  

   

Speed:  300  meters  CRI,    500  meters  in  line  ,  1.000  meters  in  line  ,   10.000  meters  by  points,    15.000  by  elimination  and    15.000   meters  points  plus  elimination.     16.  Modern  Pentathlon   §
