A short time in large oak casks ads a hint of vanilla to the alluring fruit and a marvellous, well balanced taste. France

36 months on oak helps create an immediate attention from the senses. The wine is bursting with herbal and minty aromas followed by intense fruit, liquorice and spice.

This wine is from the superb 1978 vintage and has been stored in the cellars of the famous Bodega for over 30 years. Showing a complex nose of wild strawberry, leather and smoky spices. The palate is amazingly fresh with a long luxurious finish.

Made from 80% Malbec and 20% Merlot. The latter adding refinement to the bouquet and softening the fruit driven power of the former. South Africa

Sumptuous and pronounced dark red fruit aroma, with a touch of spice followed by elegant, peppery notes. The Viognier in turn is responsible for the floral perfume that shines through in a wine that concludes with a long rounded finish. Veneto, Italy

This is a very distinctive, famous wine. Aromas of black cherry, plum and hints of fruit cake are followed by a very full bodied and rich palate packed with cherry, vanilla and coffee flavours. It has concentrated tannins and a wonderful long finish. Bordeaux, France

An easily appreciated style in part due to the majority Merlot and Cabernet Franc in the blend. The superb 2004 vintage received an 89 score from Parker. Still a youthful wine with classic cedar aromas and plummy fruit.
