Reports

Reports Running end of year reports will help keep you on track with your inventory and taxes. Being mindful of which report to run and the best time to run it can save you time!

Inventory Valuation Report This report will show you the value of product on hand and the amounts sold over the last year. (Run as close to the end or beginning of year as possible) 1. Select Reports on the menu bar, hover over Inventory Report Menu and choose Inventory Valuation Report. 2. Set the Date Range for Sales Amounts to the year. 3. Select Preview to view the document.

The Value On Hand total shows on the last page of the report. The Value Sold total shows the amount sold in the date range selected.

Printing to a File: 4. In the upper left, choose the printer button. 5. Choose to Print to File. 6. Select the file type and location to save and select OK. (You may also wish to print just the last page of this report to paper.)

Sales Tax Reports Tax reports show the amount of taxable and non-taxable sales for your business. (Run anytime after the beginning of the year) Important Note: If your tax calculations and the software's numbers do not match exactly, remember that Envision will always round up when calculating if the tax rate allows for partial cents.

Sales Tax Detail Report 1. Select Reports on the menu bar, hover over Sales Tax Reports and choose Sales Tax Report Individual Rate Detail. 2. Set the Date Range for Sales Amounts to the year. 3. Select Preview to view the document. 4. Select to print.

You will see that there are tax amounts under Rate 1 and Rate 2 for retail items. Service items and gift certificates are exempt. How taxes will display on this page will depend on your setup in the program preferences of the Envision program.

Sales Tax Report The Sales Tax report is a long report that groups the items sold together by name, then sorts by date. This report is most often used to find concerns. 1. Select Reports on the menu bar, hover over Sales Tax Reports and choose Sales Tax Report. 2. Set the Date Range for Sales Amounts to the year. 3. Select Preview to view the document. 4. In the upper left, choose the printer button. 5. Choose to Print to File. 6. Select the file type and location to save and select OK.

(In this instance, we found a shampoo that had been rung through without taxes being charged.)

Gift Certificate Reports Gift Certificate reports show amounts sold, redeemed and outstanding. (Run anytime after the beginning of the year)

Gift Certificates Sold Report 1. Select Reports on the menu bar, hover over Gift Certificate / Prepaid Sales Reports and choose Gift Certificates Sales. 2. Set the Date Range for Sales Amounts to the year. (Choose any additional options you require- Only Gift Certificates Sold Online / Only Show Non-Expired.) 3. Select Preview to view the document. 4. In the upper left, choose the printer button. 5. Choose to Print to File. 6. Select the file type and location to save and select OK.

Gift Certificates Outstanding Report 1. Select Reports on the menu bar, hover over Gift Certificate / Prepaid Sales Reports and choose Gift Certificates Outstanding. 2. Set the Date Range for Sales Amounts to the year. (Choose any additional options you require- Only Gift Certificates Sold Online / Only Show Non-Expired.) 3. Select Preview to view the document. 4. In the upper left, choose the printer button. 5. Choose to Print to File. 6. Select the file type and location to save and select OK.

Gift Certificates Redeemed 1. Select Reports on the menu bar, hover over POS Report Menu and choose Payment Detail Report. 2. Set the Date Range to the year. 3. Under Select Payment Types to Appear on Report, select Gift Certificates. 4. Select Preview to view the document. 5. In the upper left, choose the printer button. 6. Choose to Print to File. 7. Select the file type and location to save and select OK.
