FIBOX, a privately owned Finnish company, is one of the largest enclosure manufacturers in the world, and is the market leader in thermoplastic enclosures used for protecting electrical and electronic components operating in hostile environments. FIBOX enclosures are manufactured in modern factories located in Finland, Germany, China and Republic of Korea.

The FIBOX enclosure range features over 1000 different standard enclosures made of polycarbonate, ABS, fiberglass and aluminium. Fibox is the industry leader in developing both new products and new technologies for molding thermoplastic enclosures. At Fibox, we consider molding technology an essential part of product development.

In 1966, FIBOX introduced the first modular enclosures injection molded from polycarbonate plastic. These enclosures began a new era in electrical panel building. From the beginning, a commitment to continuous product improvement and on-going product development, has fuelled a dramatic and rapid growth for the company. Whatever your application, the FIBOX enclosure family features the widest range of high quality enclosures for the packaging and protection of electrical and electronic components and systems. Enclosures can be delivered in standard off the shelf configurations or customized to your exact specifications. Fibox Oy Ab earned the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Certification for all its operations in 1992. Fibox voluntarily submits its products for third party testing and evaluation, and currently has many third party listings including, UL, FIMKO, DNV, LR, etc. Fibox Enclosures comply with EN 60529.

For example, FIBOX MNX process. This new process ensures precision molding of the gasket guaranteeing superior enclosure protection ratings. Fibox is the only manufacturer applying this technology to enclosures. Another example is FIBOX’s emphasis on multiple slide technology for mold construction. While much more costly, this type of mold provides our OEM customers cost effective alternatives for modifying standard enclosures to meet their specific needs. But more important than technical leadership, is the FIBOX commitment to understanding the needs of its customers. All our products are designed in close cooperation with our customers. We use input from our global customer base to produce new enclosure ranges, useful accessories and on-going product improvements and enhancements.

MNX Wide selection - More than 260 versions MNX polycarbonate and ABS enclosures utilize world-class 2 component injection moulding technology. They are designed to house and protect all kinds of electrical and electronic components in the most demanding applications. ALU enclosures provide rigid construction, high impact resistance and they can be used at wide range of operating temperatures.

PICCOLO range is especially designed to house push buttons, terminal blocks, motor starters and electronic devices.

Steel cabinets can be supplied either as screw boxes or normal version with key. Both series can be delivered in painted sheet steel, AISI 304 or even AISI 316L stainless steel versions.

Fibox Tempo enclosures are easy to use because they are designed to save time and money in assembly and installation. Fibox Tempo is fully compatible with the most common types of standard enclosure market. Large plain cover offers lots of space for printing, labels and switches. Rapid hinges can be installed in seconds, without any tools or screws.

Ingress protection class of enclosures is given in the form of IP classification, a two digit coding which is shown below. Fibox has tested the enclosures according to EN 60529. The standard requires the second digit to be tested from class 6 upwards separately to each level of class, thus the double marking IP 66 / IP 67 indicates that the actual tests have been made for both levels.
