You will arrive in Milano, and head south towards Mantova. You will be staying there for a night and discover a beautiful town and eat in Italy’s oldest 3 Michelin star restaurant. The next stop will be in a truly authentic location home to Italy’s most praised dried meat: Culatello di Zibello! You will be staying there for a night and experience that magic of this hotel-farm where everything that you will be eating is home made and home sourced. You will head to the heart of the region where you will be visiting and tasting some of Italy’s finest products: Parmigiano cheese, Balsamic Vinegar and Parma ham. If that wasn’t exciting enough, Emilia Romagna is also known as Italy’s motoring capital home to world famous brands such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati and Ducati. You will have the chance to visit the factories and for those of you who just can’t resist you will be able to drive them. Your final stop will be in Bologna, also known as “la Grassa” (the fat one) famous for its many tasty dishes such as Tagliatelle with Bolognese sauce, Lasagne and Tortellini. You will have a gastronomic tour of the city and end you trip with a lunch in a memorable authentic local “trattoria”.

You will have lunch in the oldest 3 Michelin star restaurant in Italy. A fantastic family run restaurant tucked away in the countryside. Afternoon: you will check into your charming countryside hotel and after having relaxed either in the spa or in the garden you will head to the town of Mantova and explore its most gorgeous sites. Dinner: you will be having dinner either in the hotel or a local restaurant can be arranged to make you experience local gastronomy at its best.

A farm converted into a hotel also known for being the best producer of Italy’s finest dried meat: Culatello di Zibello. You will have a tour of the property, visit the ham and cheese cellar and have lunch in their trattoria. Afternoon: you will go to the pretty town of Cremona, home to some of the finest violin artisans. Dinner: you will have dinner in the one Michelin star restaurant of the hotel where you will be sampling true high quality authentic local cuisine.

Emilia Romagna: Welcome to food valley ‡ Day 3 Morning: you will have a one to one cooking session with Michelin star chef Massimo who will teach you the techniques of curing his famous meets and cook together the most typical dishes from the area. Lunch: you will eat the meal you have cooked together in the main restaurant. Afternoon: you will head towards Parma, more precisely in Salso Maggiore Terme, a place famous for its thermal baths and will be staying in a medieval castle for the next 2 nights. Dinner: you will have dinner in a local restaurant famous for its antipasti and pasta based dishes.

Lunch: you will have lunch in what is considered to be the most historic restaurant of Parma famous for its incredible pumpkin Tortelli. Afternoon: head south of the city in an area famous for the high quality dried meet production. You will visit a farm and have a ham tasting while tasting local sparkling red wine Lambrusco. Dinner: head back to the hotel and go for dinner in a small restaurant in the village next door for some real “mama’s food”.

On the way you will stop by a cheese producer to discover the secrets and get a tasting of the king of cheese: Parmigiano Reggiano. A truly unforgettable experience where the chef takes local recipes and elevates them to a whole new dimension. Afternoon: After lunch, you will have the chance to drive one of these cars on the Bolognese hills. Dinner: just outside Bologna there is a must go to trattoria where you will be tasting regional cuisine at its best.
