IKAGENG ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS PROJECT MANAGERS AND ENGINEERS As a 100% black owned company that was founded in 2005 by a previously disadvantage male, Ikageng Electrical Contractors CC, with registra on number: 2005/045838/23 has grown from a contrac ng company to incorporate Project Management and Electrical Engineering to offer a TURN-KEY Electrical solu on for Infra-Structure Development Projects. The company has grown organically by re-inves ng its earnings to fund the company's growth over the past years since its incep on. The company's main focus has always been on skills development for the previously disadvantage individuals and today the company has partnered with ter ary educa on ins tu ons such as Central University of Technology and Motheo FET together with CETA to alleviate the scourge of shortage of skills development in Engineering in South Africa. On a daily basis the company's skilled technical management is looking into ways of providing a superior service to small, medium and large enterprises, be it in private or public sphere within and outside the borders of South Africa surpassing the available service in the market. With a turnover of above R 35 000 000, a staff compliment of over 60 qualified personnel, Ikageng Electrical Contractors is constantly exploring new ways of rendering excep onal services to its customers which will put it to become the best in the industry and second to none. And this caveat is non-nego able!

CONSTRUCTION It is the inten on of Ikageng Electrical Contractors to open itself to the opportuni es in the ever growing construc on industry and to posi on itself strategically so in the market. Hence the opening of the construc on wing as a fully func onal department of its own.

WORK PHILOSOPHY The project manager, project engineers, supervisors and other key personnel are full me employees, looking a er the day to day management of the construc on ac vity. We use this approach in order for us to employ local labour as set out in the Expanded Public Works Program (EPWP) and to advance the country’s effort to alleviate poverty and unemployment.

PLANT AND EQUIPMENT We have our own plant and equipment to execute 80% of our projects. Should we require addi onal plant and equipment we shall hire it from reputable service providers.

TURN-KEY PROPOSAL We pride ourselves in prepara on of our Turn-Key Proposals and the efficiency in which we put these proposals together.

We mainly form partnerships with companies that excel in the service they perform and mostly those companies that believe and support Black Empowerment Ini a ves. We only partner with the companies that share the same business ethics as us.

PUBLIC LIGHTING & LOW VOLTAGE HIGH MAST INSTALLATION

CABLE FAULT LOCATION & MAINTENANCE FAULT LOCATION IN UNDERGROUND CABLES Fault loca on happens a er the fault finding took place and they iden fied the por on of where the fault can be i.e. between pole 1 and 2. A er that, fault loca on teams have to bring the fault loca on machine to allocate the accurate place that the fault is i.e. between pole 1 and 2, so digging and fixing of faulty cables can be repaired.

PUBLIC LIGHTS MAINTENANCE Teams make sure that all the lights in each circuit are working. During the day the team have to switch off all the lights (at night the lights are automa cally switched on) and check the lights are off or a end to it. The maintenance procedure is as follows: Ÿ Check power in the inspec on box of the pole if power is going through up to the fi ng and the lamp s ll off Ÿ Use the “cherry picker” to check power in the fi ng Ÿ If the fi ng is faulty it has to be replaced Ÿ If power in the fi ng is going through to the output, the lamp is checked Ÿ If the lamp is faulty it has to be replaced.
