GENERATION 2 – MINI LED DOWNLIGHTS MORE LIGHT, LESS POWER & VERY ECONOMICAL

The new generation 2 Mini LED Downlights provide up to 40% more light, use less power and are far more economical than generation 1 Australian designed & assembled

The ELS ADL range of down lights utilize CreeXP-G LED’s. Cree has long been recognized as a leader in LED technology and quality. The ELS LED MCPCB’s are Australian designed and made to ensure top quality.

Quality lighting without glare for visual comfort.

A common fault with many LED light fittings is glare. The very nature of all LED’s being a very small, high intensity light source means they are a source of glare and require luminaires to be designed to minimise glare – a major cause of visual discomfort. All the ELS ADL down lights use reflector systems or baffles to provide a shielding angle. When viewed from normal viewing angles the actual LED’s are not visible.

Typical uses

Primarily this range is designed to be used in areas that traditionally would have used low voltage 20w, 35w, and 50w lamps or low wattage fluorescent lamps of 13w, 18w or 26w down lights. When compared to similar output low voltage lamps energy savings of approximately 50% can be expected. SHIELDING ANGLE

Lumen maintenance

When used within the specification Ta 35˚C, lumen maintenance of 50% at 50,000 hours is expected.

Testing & certification

Specifications & operating environment

Thermal management – The ADL LED range are fitted with purpose designed heat sinks to ensure the operating temperature is within the designed parameter of the LED unit. Maximum Ta temperature (ambient temperature) should not exceed 35˚C. Ta temperatures in excess of 35˚ will have a detrimental effect on the life of the LED unit. CRI – The entire mini downlight range has a CRI 80+ Dimming – All fittings are supplied with trailing edge dimmable gear (dimmable to 20% of max) DALI dimmable fittings also available as a special order.

All ELS Mini LED down lights have NATA certified photometric data and EMC approval. Full copies of photometric test reports are available on request. IES files are available to download from our website. Visit www.elslighting.com.au for more information.

The ADL150 & ADLS 130 LED downlight range utilises Philips LED’s and Philips matched driver. This package offers a breakthrough in energy efficiency and high lumen packages and when combined with the specifically designed reflector it provides specifiers with an even more energy efficient alternative to compact fluorescent downlights. The high lumen packages that are offered across the entire High OutPut LED range make these fittings perfect for many commercial and soft commercial applications.

The ADL150 and ADLS130 LED down lights use reflector systems to provide a shielding angle. When viewed from normal viewing angles the actual LED’s are not visible.

Specifications and operating environment

The ADL150 and ADLS130 LED downlights are fitted with a purpose designed heat sink to ensure the operating temperature is within the parameter of the LED unit. Maximum Ta. temperature (ambient temperature) should not exceed 35° C. Ta temperatures in excess of 35° C will have a detrimental effect on the LED unit. The life of the LED unit can be further extended by using the optional 150.12.008 – fanless forced air cooler. All 3000lm fittings are supplied standard with the fanless forced air cooler. CRI – The entire ADL downlight range has a CRI 80+.

SHIELDING ANGLE

Dimming – All fittings are supplied with trailing edge dimmable gear (dimmable to 20% of max) DALI dimmable fittings also available as a special order.

Lumen maintenance

When used within the specification – Ta max 35° C, lumen maintenance of 70% at 35,000 hours is expected. At 50,000 hours lumen maintenance is 50% (average lifetime specification).

Luminous flux during start period

In contrast to other light sources LED’s can be on at full power (or in the case of the dimming version at any dimmed level) instantaneously. All ADL150 High Out-Put LED downlights require an initial burn in period of 100 hours to reach the specifications listed.

Testing & certification
