Educational Services RSA SecurWorld Academy Overview RSA SecurWorld Academy, RSA’s partner training program, offers a variety of courses, classes and delivery methods designed for the adult professional learner. Role based curricula targets relevant and practical information to prepare you to match RSA products to customer needs - whatever your particular mission might be. Training helps equip you with the knowledge necessary to sell and position RSA products, help develop solutions, and resolve technical issues. In order to access RSA training, you will need to navigate to RSA Partner Central from Powerlink.
Navigation to RSA Partner Central on Powerlink 1. From the EMC Powerlink home page there are three methods of entering the Global RSA Partner Central: •The drop down menu on the Tools/Resources navigation bar (Fig. 3) •Link located in the partner resources tab on the right hand side of the screen (Fig. 4) •The rotating banner and captions located in the spot light section (Fig. 5)

2. Once on the Global RSA page, you can choose from the new “Global Programs” section to access RSA Partner Training and the new RSA Sales Process pages (Fig. 6). In addition, you can click on the region in which you are interested in on the left hand side of the screen (Fig. 7). You can also select your preferred language for Powerlink navigation located on the top right corner (Fig. 8)

Accessing Training from Partner Central 1. RSA SecurWorld Academy can be from the Powerlink homepage under the ‘Training’ tab (Fig. 10). 2. RSA SecurWorld Academy can also be found under the ‘Global Programs’ section on the ‘Global RSA Partner Central’ homepage. Click on ‘RSA SecurWorld Academy’ under ‘Global Programs’ either on the main page (Fig. 11) or on the left side of the webpage (Fig. 12). On the RSA SecurWorld Academy landing page, click on the link to launch the training.

Under ‘Presales Certifications’ you can access study guides that provide further details on what is covered in the SE Professional tracks for the following solutions: Authentication, SIEM, GRC, DLP, and Network Monitoring (Fig. 13).

Authentication & Security Management

Under the ‘Authentication’ and ‘Security Management’ sections, there are tables that show what courses make up the Authentication and Security Management tracks (Figs. 14 and 15). This will help you to understand what courses you will need to take to earn the necessary accreditations for a given track.

Launch A Course
1.
In order to launch a course, you must first click on the ‘Launch Training’ link under ‘RSA SecurWorld Academy’. This will trigger the flash interface where all of the training modules can be found (Fig.16).
2. After the flash opens, proceed by clicking on the buttons that correspond to the training you wish to take. You can either choose to take the Enablement Center Track, or proceed to the role-based training that will be broken down by Sales, System Engineer, or Implementation Engineer (Fig. 17). After choosing your role, the training will be broken down by level – Associate or Professional (Fig. 18) – and then by track – Authentication or Security Management (Fig. 19).

After you have selected your role, level of training, and track, you will reach a page with chevrons (Fig. 20). These chevrons will be direct links to that particular course. Click on the chevron to pull up the corresponding course in Saba (Fig. 21).

Registering for Sales Professional Workshop

When registering for a Sales Professional Workshop, you will see a listing of all upcoming workshops worldwide. You can filter this listing by choosing the Location filter and selecting an option accordingly (Fig. 26). When you have found the workshop that you are looking for, simply click “Register” under the Actions field.

Complete the Assessment 1.
To complete most courses, you are required to complete an assessment at the end of your training. A.) Some courses have assessments embedded at the end OR B.) Some courses have assessments separate from the course module that you will have to manually look up in the sales portal (applicable only to ‘Other Security Courses’).
2. For embedded assessments, the course will automatically transition you to the Course Assessment page as shown in Fig. 27. In order to pass the assessment, you must score an 80% of above. If you do not pass the assessment, you are allowed to go through the module once again and retake the exam as many times as you you wish. After passing the test, the grade number and an indication of pass/fail will appear but no email will be sent with this information.

For assessments that are separate from a course in the ‘Other Security Courses’ section, follow these instructions: a. Return to the Course Search button b. Search for the course you just completed c. Below the course, will be a link to its assessment as shown in Fig 28.

Troubleshooting In order to successfully use Powerlink and RSA Partner Central, please confirm that you have the following. 1. Please use IE8 as your web browser and try again after confirming steps 2-5 2. Make sure your internet cookies are enabled 3. Make sure you have Adobe Flash Player installed 4. Please clear your Internet cache 5. Make sure your Pop-up blockers are turned off In order to access RSA Training you will first need to register your account in the training system by following the below steps: 1. Logon to EMC Powerlink (http://powerlink.emc.com/) and navigate to the ‘Launch Training’ link under ‘RSA SecurWorld Academy’ 2. When you are presented with the 'Choose Your Location' page, please select the location you are associated to. If your current location is not listed, please use your Parent company address as the location (See Figs. 29-30). Please wait at least 10 minutes to allow the system to update your account information (Fig. 31). At that time, you can proceed through to the courses of your choice.
