Description Get “special guest” or executives/leaders in your company to bartend and rival for tips or you can ask the local bars/restaurants what they can do for you.

Silent or Live Auction

Items are donated and used in a silent or live auction. Examples: Gift Baskets, Venue Tickets, Movie tickets, Gift Certificates, vacation homes, etc.

Silent or Live auction, items must be tangible. No direct solicitation allowed. Be sure to have a placard stating where the money is being donated to. 100% must go to the charity.

Flower Days / Valentine Flower Sales

Selling flowers to be delivered to an associate. Contact a local florist and get a low-cost or donation of carnations. Associates in each department could purchase a slip of paper for $1 or $2 and in turn could use that paper as a “to / from” card that could be attached to a flower. The flowers could then be ordered and delivered on a set date. Jar is placed in a prominent location and clearly labeled for fundraising. People donate their loose change.

Employees bring in their own baby pictures and place on a display board and people donate a certain amount to guess who each person is on that display. Usually very fun teambuilding.

Candy Grams

Send a candy gram to a fellow teammate. Can go to BJ’s or Costco and purchase items or make a bag of items that can be sold to employees who want to send another person a candy gram. For a donation, team members can participate in an afternoon of bowling. Great camaraderie!

Associates sell the opportunity to apply a ‘pie’ on their manager. Great team-building event! Get managers to be the willing victim. 50-50 Raffles For an entire month, have an individual/team sell raffle tickets where 50% of the proceeds go to the winner. Incentive can be in your creating increments such a 1 ticket for $1, 5 tickets for $3, or arm’s length for #? Hot dog eating contest Have 5-10 people in your organization agree to participate in the contest. Those people will sell raffle tickets in which people vote on who they think will win. Those that purchased tickets for the winner will be in a prize drawing. Another method is to just ask people to put out jars with each contestant’s name on it and ask for employees to put a dollar or 5 dollar bill in which jar of the person they think will win.

Hold a Wii sports event

Have a team hold a bake sale in a common area in your building. Either each member of the team bakes something or gets items donated from bakeries. Can be done for breakfast or lunch. Find a person who teaches dance or a fitness class and ask them to donate time to lead a fundraiser. Charge a fee for each person to participate. Get donations from your team and advertise a sale and list all of the items. Price items so that they are affordable. Find a local representative who would be willing to do a party at a location of your choice and a portion of the proceeds of the party would be donated to your team. Either hold at work (get permission) or at your house and advertise as a tournament. To get into the tournament they have to pay an amount and winner gets half and your team gets the other half.

March Madness Pong Tournament

Hold a Hole in One putting contest or Closest to the Pin contest at your work. Get permission from management. Set an amount and rules. Winner gets half the pot and the other half goes to your team. People vie against each other to eat the most wings. Employees pay $10 to attend, eat and drink and they can also pay extra to wager who will win. Can be company –wide beer pong tournament – early rounds throughout the work day (with water in cups in early rounds) with a sweet sixteen at night (with beer and pizza).
