E3 OPERATOR GROUND CHECK has been designed to test the performance of ESD wrist straps and foot-wears such as clogs, shoes, sandals or foot-grounders. E3 is designed to operate tests in accordance with IEC 61340-5-1 standard (table 1). E3 performs test on the ESD wristband and the ESD foot-wears automatically. The operator can easily select the test to perform. E3 includes a dual foot plate in order to verify the conductivity of the left and right foot separately and simultaneously. 1-NOTE The E3 has been designed for a wall application (wall mount). 6-METAL TOUCH PLATE The metal touch plate is designed to provide the electrical contact between the skin of the operator and the monitor. 8-L.E.D. INDICATIONS The L.E.D. indication is designed to provide an immediate visual reading of the results of the performed test on footwears and wristbands “HI” L.E.D.s (red colour) indicate that the equipment (foot-wears and/or wristbands) show an electrical resistance too high, exceeding the top limit of the correct range “PASS” L.E.D.s (green colour) indicate that the ESD equipment (foot-wears and/or wristbands) show correct electrical resistance values (within the range) “LOW” L.E.D.s (red colour) indicate that the equipment (foot-wears and/or wristbands) show an electrical resistance too low, exceeding the bottom limit of the correct range 8-INDICATIONS L.E.D. 10-NUR SCHUHE TESTEN  1. Drehen Sie den Wahlschalter auf die obere Position "Schuh"

Kontrollieren Sie, ob Ihre ESD Schuhe eine saubere Sohle haben, um den besten elektrischen Kontakt zu gewährleisten (eine schmutzige Sohle wird Ihren elektrischen Widerstand erhöhen und ein korrektes Testergebnis wird dadurch nicht möglich). 3. Ziehen Sie den linken und rechten ESD Schuh entsprechend den Anweisungen an, damit eine gute elektrische Verbindung mit den Füßen vorhanden ist. 4. Treten Sie mit dem linken ESD Schuh auf die linke Hälfte der Metall-Fußplatte, mit dem rechten Schuh auf die rechte Hälfte der MetallFußplatte (vergewissern Sie sich, dass beide Schuhsohlen in der Mitte der jeweiligen Platte platziert sind) 5. mettez correctement le bracelet et les chaussures ESD connectez le câble de bracelet à la prise respective sur le E3 et placez vos pieds sur les plaques métalliques respectives (gauche et droite) appuyez et maintenez la pression sur la plaque métallique de l'E3 les LED s’allumeront respectivement pour le pied gauche, le pied droit et le bracelet (HI, LOW et PASS)

11-TEST VON SCHUHEN UND ARMBAND  1. Drehen Sie den Wahlschalter auf die richtigen Position "Schuh + Hand"

   

2. Tragen richtig das Armband und die ESD-Schuhe 3. Schließen Sie das Netzkabel des Armbandes am E3-Anschluss an und treten Sie mit beiden Füßen auf die entsprechende FußMetallplatte (linker und rechter Fuß) 4. Drücken und halten Sie die Metallplatte an der Vorderseite des E3. 5. Die farbigen LEDs leuchten jeweils für den linken Fuß, den rechten Fuß und das Armband (HI, LOW, PASS) 12-BATTERY INDICATION - The E3 operates with alkaline batteries or with external power supply. When operating with batteries, the L.E.D. indications “LOW BATTERY” will advise about status of charge. The L.E.D. shines amber colour when the battery is low of charge. Warning: replace battery as soon as amber LED stays ON for more than half second during a single test. Short flashes are instead normal. The L.E.D. is not active when the Power Supply is connected.

12-INDICATION PILE - Le E3 fonctionne avec des piles alcalines ou avec alimentation externe. En cas de fonctionnement avec des piles, les LED "LOW BAT" indique l'état de la charge. Le LED couleur ambre s’allume quand la batterie est faible. Dans ce cas, remplacer la batterie. Le "LOW-BAT" LED n'est pas actif si l'alimentation externe est connecté. 12-BATTERIE ANZEIGE - E3 arbeitet mit Alkaline-Batterien oder mit externem Netztanschluss . Beim Batterie-Betrieb zeigt das LED-Zeichen "Low Battery" den Ladungstatus an. Die LED leuchtet bernsteingelb, wenn die Batterie schwach ist. Warnung: ersetzen Sie die Batterie, sobald das LOW BATTERY-LED mehr als eine halbe Sekunde während des Tests leuchtet. Kurzes Aufleuchten ist hingegen normal. LED ist nicht aktiv, wenn Netzteil angeschlossen ist.

DOOR OPENING SYSTEM

13-DOOR OPENER - Unique feature of the E3 is the door-opening system. On the lower part of the tester is located the NO-NC relay “clean contacts” which can be used to drive a door opening control system. In this way the E3 can discriminate the access to EPA restricted areas. See table and sketch below for relay connections, performances and max. load applicable. 13-SYSTEME D’OUVERTURE DE PORTE La caractéristique unique de l'E3 est le système d'ouverture des portes. Sur la partie inférieure du tester est situé le relais NO-NC "clean contacts" qui peut être utilisés pour piloter un système de commande d'ouverture de la porte. l'E3 peut contrôler l'accès aux zones réglementées des EPA. Voir le tableau et le sketch ci-dessous pour les connexions du relais, les opérations et maxime charge applicable. 13-TÜR-ÖFFNUNGS-SYSTEM Einzigartiges Merkmal des E3 ist das Tür-ÖffnungsSystem. Am unteren Teil des Testers befindet sich das NO-NC Relais "saubere Kontakte", das für die Steuerung des Tür-Öffnungs-Systems verwendet wird. Auf diese Weise kann E3 den Zugang zum EPA Sperrgebiet verhindern. Siehe Tabelle und Skizze unten für Relais-Verbindungen, Performances und max. anwendbare Belastung.
