The criteria cascade downwards. ‘Demonstrates deep knowledge and understanding’ becomes ‘demonstrates knowledge and understanding’, then ‘demonstrates some understanding’, then ‘identifies’ finally ‘demonstrates limited understanding’.

Issue 1: ACTIVITY operating at a global scale NOT ENTERPRISE operating at a local scale

Issue 2: impacts OF the activity NOT impacts ON the activity (NOT the factors explaining the nature, spatial patterns and future directions of - BEESPOT)

Issue 3:

few respondents discussed :

environmental impacts - pollution, resource depletion social impacts - labour exploitation, cultural integration economic impacts - providing infrastructure, job creation, transfer pricing.

Many capable students with a good knowledge of Geography and the ability to write a good response did not answer this question adequately.

So what can we do to help them avoid these pitfalls?
