Unlike wet-mix concrete, dry-mix concrete does not harden and become unusable until water is added to it.

 Construction workers and contractors prefer the use of packaged dry-mix concrete, as the components are pre-mixed.  An added advantage of packaged dry-mix concrete is their utilizable period.  If stored in a dry place, away from moisture and air drymix concrete can be used even after a long period.

Most home applications of concrete require small quantities of concrete, which makes packaged dry-mixed more practical over ready-mix concrete
