PhD in Computer Science Institute: University of Birmingham, UK Supervisors: Dr. Mark Lee and Dr. Behzad Bordbar. PhD level courses: Research Methods, Advanced Topics in Artificial Intelligence, Data Warehousing and Data Mining, Advanced Topic in Information Systems, Research Skills Research Area: Automated Software modelling using a Natural Language (NL) interface was focus of PhD. The research targeted the automated generation of Object Constraint Language (OCL) constraints from NL specification of software constraints. The Structured Business Vocabulary and Rules (SBVR) standard was used as a pivot representation in NL to OCL transformation. To generate OCL from NL specification, NL specification was mapped to SBVR rules by applying various steps of NLP. To transform SBVR rules to OCL, model transformation technology was used. The output of the research contributes to

knowledge in many dimensions. The research not only addressed typical issues of NLP but also simplified the generation of OCL to assist modellers in the process of software and business modelling. 2003-2005

Software Quality Assurance, Wireless Networks, and Information Systems Audit Research Area: Image classification of cloud types using PCA (Principal Component Analysis) was the focus of MS thesis. An automatic classification system was presented, which discriminated the different types of single-layered clouds using PCA with enhanced accuracy and provides fast processing speed as compared to other techniques.
