Washable markers 2 fat pink erasers A supply fee of $65.00 is due at registration. Please keep in mind that your child’s teacher may ask for additional items at the beginning of the school year. Back to school sales are good times to buy the above items in bulk because many of these supplies will need to be replenished throughout the school year. Parents will be called for a change of clothes if students wear the following: tank tops, fishnet shirts, halter-tops, spandex biker shorts, short shorts, bare midriffs, or shirts with offensive writing or pictures. *No backpacks on wheels since textbook weight is minimal.

Some first grade teachers may require additional items. You will need to wait to find out who your child’s teacher will be. SMITH ELEMENTARY SECOND GRADE SUPPLY LIST 2010-2011 Crayons – 24 or less Elmer’s white glue Scissors (We recommend Fiskars’ children’s scissors.) 2 boxes of pencils (48 pencils total) 2 large boxes of Kleenex 1 roll of paper towels 2 red grading pens or pencils 8 plastic folders with BRADS AND POCKETS ( 2 of each color - red, blue, green and yellow) small cloth school bag or pencil box to hold pencils and crayons (all except Tassie & Kirby – large pencil bag – no box) 1 box of colored pencils small watercolor paint set 1 bottle of hand sanitizer (Germ-X, Purell, etc.) 1 container of Clorox wipes 4 glue sticks 1 pack of wide ruled notebook paper wide/thick dry erase markers (no thin markers please) 6 quarters, 10 dimes, 10 nickels, 10 pennies for “Math Toolbox” 1 ruler ( in / cm ) 1 box gallon sized ziploc baggies – (girls) 1 box quart sized ziploc baggies – (boys) *Backpack Please bring the items listed above on the first day of school. We have asked for specific sizes of supplies because the children have limited space in their desks. Your child’s teacher may add additional items to the list above. If you wish to send a bag of individually wrapped candy, it would be most helpful. The candy will be used as rewards for the children. 1 package of 5 tab dividers 1 – 2 inch three ring white notebook with clear cover that can be used as a pocket 1 - 1 inch three ring notebook 3 – Composition Notebooks Pocket folders with brads (red, yellow, green, purple) Small pencil box or school box #2 pencils with extra cap erasers (NO MECHANICAL) Crayons (no larger than 24) Colored pencils Scissors (safety) Glue (white) or Stick (need 3) Ruler – metric and standard (easy to read – not bendable) 1 package of Standard Color Markers (red, yellow, green, etc.) 2 large boxes of tissues 1 roll of paper towels 1 box of band-aids 2 canisters of Clorox wipes 3 Packages wide-ruled notebook paper Hand sanitizer Small pencil sharpener that will catch shavings Ziploc baggies – sandwich and quart size (boys only) Ziploc baggies – gallon and snack size (girls only) Rewards – erasers, pencils, party favors (rings, …..) 3rd Grade Zaner-Bloser handwriting paper
