Several projects accomplished: Secured a charter for the National Collegiate Foreign Language Honor Society. Celebrated the first induction ceremony in March 1998 and every year thereafter. At the ceremony students presented songs and poems in Spanish. 1998 – 2012. Organized the celebration of National Modern Foreign Language Week in which students prepared posters and recipes from different Spanish speaking countries. The UVI family and members of the community came together to celebrate and be entertained by cultural dances. March 2000 – 2010 Assistant coordinator for the Small Island Developing States University Consortium Development Workshop held at UVI. August 2004 As part of the Humanities Festival 2000 activities, arranged the participation of Paracumbé, a Puerto Rican Folkloric Dance Group. They gave a spectacular and informative presentation. October 2000. Organized a cultural evening with a Folkloric Dance Group, Gíbaro de Puerto Rico, and a local cultural group, Bamboula Dances, in celebration of Modern Foreign Language Week. March 1999. Sponsor of a Spanish Club which presented a variety program- Descubriendo talentos, that brought together other Spanish Clubs on the island and Hispanic performers in the community.
