Information on buying at Auction Buyer Numbers You need to register for a buyer number prior to bidding at an auction, which can be done in person or via the website by clicking the ‘register’ link on the home page. Telephone Bids If you cannot attend the auction and would prefer to book a telephone bid, we are happy to oblige. Telephone bids must be received by 5pm the day before the sale. Condition of Lots Although general condition reports may be found online by the lot descriptions, prospective buyers should ensure that they have satisfied themselves as to the condition of any items they intend to buy. Lots are sold ‘as seen’ and their condition cannot be guaranteed. Buyers Premium The buyer’s premium payable on the hammer price is 17.5%, on which VAT is applicable. Payment Payment can be made by any of the following methods: Cash, Debit Cards, Cheque (with guarantee card.
