Networking & city tour in Basel: “Art in the city” More so in Basel than in any other city, art and culture form an inherent part of the cityscape. This is why Basel is known as the cultural capital of Switzerland. Many artworks by prominent artists can be found adorning Basel’s public buildings and gracing the city’s streets and piazzas. The most famous examples are Jean Tiguely’s “Fasnacht Fountain”, Borofsky’s “Hammering Man” and Serra’s “Intersection”. The tour will include these and many other fine examples of sculptures, murals, fountains and façade decorations liberally scattered throughout the city. The tour will start and end at the Congress Center Basel. Disabled access is possible during the tour. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella (if rain is forecasted ).
