CONFIGURATION SCREEN Response Manager is a data rich application. All the data displayed in Response Manager resides in a central database. It is recommended to first synchronize Response Manager before login. This ensures concurrency between the database in Response Manager application and the central database server. To synchronize, check the checkbox and then click on the

which leads to ‘Synch Form’ window. Now click on . It may take some time to complete Synchronization

depending upon connection speed and amount of data that needs to be synchronized. User is not required to login to CR-ERNS to initiate Synchronization.

SELECTING AN INCIDENT This section describes how to view information about a selected Incident. From the main entry, select an incident using the incident selector at the top of the page (Circled in red above) by clicking the “Select” button. This will cause the Incident Selection window to appear, as shown below (Figure 1-3). This window allows the user to select the region, event and incident. The user must first select a region, and then an event, and then an incident, to use the selector. Once the user has selected an incident, click the “OK” button to load that incident. The incident select drop down list (Circled in red above) contains the user’s five most recent incidents.

CUS TOM FILTERING Response Manager enables the user to create custom filters on any data field in the database. The following modules allow the custom filter to be accessed through the Actionlist: •

To create a new filter, select “New Filter from the current Actionlist and click Go.

To start building the filter, select the data level, data field, and operator. The button provides suggestions on what to match on.

EMERGENCY RES P ONS E MODULE After selecting the incident, you can view basic information by navigating to the “Emergency Response” module. To do this, click on the “Response” menu item on the left. All modules are divided into tabs. This module has eleven tabs associated with the current incident.

BASIC INFORMATION TAB This tab contains all the general information about the incident. To update, edit any of the fields and click the Save button.

TIMELINE TAB This tab contains events that are of significant importance and is arranged in chronological order. To add a new event, simply click on the Add New button. To update an existing event, double click on the DateTime of the event (blue column).

Add date, time, and comments for the event, and click Save.

PHOTOS TAB This tab contains general photos about the incident. To add a new photo, simply highlight “Add New Photo” in the Actionlist and click Go. To update an existing photo, simply double click on the Photo ID of the photo (blue column).

EVACUATIONS TAB This tab contains information about evacuations caused by the incident. To add an evacuation, click on the Add New button. To update an existing evacuation, double click on the Description of the evacuation (blue column).

SOURCE TAB This tab contains information about any sources that are releasing hazardous substances. To add a new source, click on the Add New button. To update an existing source, double click on the Type of the source (blue column).

CAUSE TAB This tab contains any causes of the incident. To add a new cause, click the Add New button. To update an existing cause, double click on the Type of the cause (blue column).

WEATHER TAB This tab contains information about the weather during the response to the incident. To add a weather entry, click the Add New button. To update an existing weather entry, double click on the Current column of the weather entry (blue column).

RELEASE TAB This tab contains information about what substance is being released as a result of the incident. To add a new release, click the Add New button. To update an existing release, double click on the Contaminant of the release (blue column).

HAZMAT TAB This tab contains information about hazardous material that the incident may have affected. To add a new hazardous material, click on the Add New button. To update an existing hazardous material, double click on the Type of the hazardous material (blue column).

4.11 SENSITIVE RECEPTOR TAB This tab contains information about sensitive receptors/populations nearby the incident. To add a new sensitive receptor, click on the Add New button. To update an existing sensitive receptor, double click on the Type of the sensitive receptor (blue column).

RECONNAIS S ANCE MODULE DATA TAB This tab contains all recon data that been logged under this have incident. To add a new recon location, highlight Create Location in the Actionlist and click Go. To update an existing recon location, double click on the Location ID of the location (blue column). To add a new recon item for a location, highlight the location (row, first level) you want to add an item for. Select Create Item in the Actionlist and click Go. To update an existing item, double click on the Item ID of the item (blue column, second level). To add a subitem for an item, highlight the item (row, second level) you want to add a sub-item for. Select Create Sub-Item in the Actionlist and click Go. To update an existing Sub-Item, double click on the Sub-Item ID of the item (blue column). To add a photo, highlight the location, item, or sub-item you want to add a photo for. Select Add Photo from the Actionlist and click Go. To update an existing photo, double click on the # of Photos column of the record with the photo you want to edit. To map the locations on a Google map, select Map Location from the Actionlist and click Go.

CONTAINERS MODULE The Containers module is primarily used for the tracking of disposing of hazardous containers. This module has 2 tabs. •

6.1

CONTAINERS TAB

To add a new container, select “New Container” from the Actionlist and click Go. To update an existing container, double click on the Container ID of the container (row, first level). To add a new layer for a container, highlight the container (row, first level), select “New Layer” from the Actionlist and click Go. To update an existing layer, double click on the Layer ID of the layer (row, second level). To add a new HazCat, highlight the layer (row, second level), select “New HazCat” from the Actionlist and click Go. To update and existing HazCat, double click on the HazCat Date of the HazCat (row, third level). To add a new HazCat result, highlight the HazCat (row, third level), select “New HazCat Test Result” and click Go. To update an existing HazCat Result, double click on the HazCat Test (row, fourth level). To add a photo, highlight the record (row) you want to add a photo for, select Add Photo from the Actionlist and click Go. To update an existing photo, double click on the # of Photos column. To export the data into an excel sheet, select the Export to Excel from the Actionlist and click Go.

To add a new material, select New Material Transaction from the Actionlist and click Go. To update an existing material, double click on the Material Transaction (row). To add a photo, highlight the record (row) you want to add a photo for, select Add Photo from the Actionlist and click Go. To update an existing photo, double click on the # of Photos column. To export the data into an excel sheet, select “Export to Excel” from the Actionlist and click Go.

17 CONTACTS MODULE The Contacts module can be reached by clicking on the “Contacts” menu item on the left. This displays all the contacts in the database. From this screen, the user can add a contact, add a company, add a category, view the grid by company, view the grid by category and export the grid data to excel. To filter the contact list, select the column, operator, and enter the value to match on in the filter control. All these action are available through the ActionList at the top of the page (circled in green below).

To edit an existing contact, simply double click on the contact’s name. This will pop up a contact details screen.

19.6 MANAGE EVENTS This section is exactly the same as the “General” module described in section 10. 19.7 DYNAMIC FORMS The Dynamic Forms screen allows administrators to create new questions that are unique to an event.

To add a question that is unique for a specific event to a form, select the region, event, and form from the drop down boxes. Next pick “New Event Question” from the action drop down list and click Go.

FTP Folder The FTP Folder functionality is for checking that the FTP folder for an event exists. This functionality is used to help troubleshoot uploading problems with Weston IT personnel.

Manage PDA data filter Because of limited memory on the PDA devices, including all data from all events on the PDA version of Response Manager would be impossible. The Manage PDA Data Filter screen allows Response Manager Administrators to select which event data will be synced to the PDA, and click OK. To allow all data for an event to be synced onto a PDA, check the appropriate box. To prevent data from an event from syncing to a PDA, uncheck the appropriate box., and click OK.
